It's not the concept people hate it's the execution that wittled it down to little more than press the action button over everything as fast as possible until it was over. If it comes back (which it should) the hope is that it will be more immersive and something that requires more thought. Maybe something like the game world not pausing while treating his injuries or sorting his gear in real time.

Just watched it, i honestly think the series is in good hands. Ive been a fan since 1998? I got MGS1 for XMas and it changed my life as a gamer, i remember playing MG1 and 2 MSX fan translated MSX roms in the early 2000's and Im hoping Metal Gear 1 and 2 MSX games can get a full on remake. Make it like MG1 is the Tanker Chapter and MG2 the Plant Chapter call it Metal Gear Solid Snake Origins or something, hell I wouldnt be against it being the actual Metal Gear Solid 6. I think Okamura is the right guy for the job and the last words he give in the video are exactly what, as a lifelong MG fan, i wanna hear.

Same here 💯... But I've been playing metal gear and metal gear 2 "snakes revenge" since NES the original Nintendo... See most people don't know anything about that until they did the Master collection vol. 1 for PS5. I am the definition of a real number 1 FAN!!!

Shoot I remember having Metal Gear and Snakes Revenge as a kid, I had that damn Tiger Handheld Snakes Regenge that talked to you and stuff. Never played much of em because I was usually on Castlevania 1,2,3 Contra 1 and 2, Zelda 1 and 2, Any Shmup like Gradius and Zanac my fav NES game of all time. I think I did clear MG1 nes a few years back but never Snakes Revenge, I tried playing it when I was 12 or 13 and damn near died an early death with an aneurysm. Truth is I didn't like MGS1 that much at first, I was playing Ocarina of Time and was stuck on that and i couldnt wrap my head around the steslth concept for a while, hell it took me probably 10 tries to make it through the first warehouse but once I did...I think by the time I got to the Darpa Chief I already knew this series would end up being one of my favorite of all time and by the time I was to the Ninja I knew for sure it would be my number 1 for a very very long time. Sorry i ramble but I love this series, might have to make my own MG content one of these days haha.

Though, I am not a true Metal Gear OG. (Started with MGS 3D on the 3DS) I am incredibly hyped for this release!

I'm really sensing a delay to early 2025. Not mentioning the release date being 2024, also the "still in development" at the bottom of the gameplay trailer. I think it is really probable that a delay may be coming

All I wanted to know was can we get the MGS4 style camo system for MGS3. I really don't want to mess around cause menus even if the speed of the pause has increased. It's still a pace breaker. I've done enough extreme runs that I just don't feel it anymore

@@jeremyhoffman3131 Sadly, I don't think there can be more improvement in the AI with the old level design, they can improve the sight range of the enemies and that's it. Don't get me wrong, I will play it, and I'm going to use the modern controls, I just aknowledge the limitations of the levels.
Man the new Snake VA for MGSV did a pretty good job, but I hope if we ever get a brand new game he's back voicing snake again.

Funny how when it's the Silent Hill 2 remake, and they so much as have a SINGLE awkward frame in the trailers for a female character, and people want to pretend the words "Modern Audience" means woke. When MGS3 brings up Modern Audiences, the remake is paraded around people's shoulders. Looking forward to both remakes, but the double standard of gamers is pissing me off
