Idk.. In my opinion, he owns the song the way the original can't (I'm talking about Beyonce song arrangement for fifty shades not the upbeat orig. one).. I heard Beyonce's crazy in love for fifty shades and can't help but feel that her rendition did not match the movie.. When I heard her, I feel nothing but with David he knows how to sing the lyrics well, put the emotions in the right words.. Slow, (I can say his cover fits for the movie because in order to feel the lyrics you have to story tell it slowly, not boringly slow but just the right amount of it) melodic, (very sensual fits perfectly with the movie's theme) his voice is a mix of slow and soft and then high and rough towards chorus.. I just love listening to his cover of this song.. You won't believe the amount of times I listened to this song I literally listened to it whole day to absorb the emotions within the song.. I never knew how amazing the lyrics are and can't appreciate the meaning of the song with the original upbeat one..

Cuz music in portugal is dead . . . its mostly a 3rd aged country that listens to meaningless folkloric shit and the kids have been infected by a hollow genre that came from Africa , called Kizomba, singing mostly about pussy , fucking and not much else (which is highly represented by the one fuckin judge who didn't turn btw)
