This brings tears. I love the longevity of the band. So fresh even after all these years, and it feels like they felt truly appreciated to be included in this concert. Fame may come and go, but talent and good content will live forever. What a legacy to leave for the future generation ❤

He did not write September. It was written by Maurice White, Al McKay and Allie Willis. Foster started his relationship with Maurice and EW&F with the I Am album.

Actually, Foster wrote the chorus to After the Love is Gone, then he had Bill Champlin, lately of the group Chicago, write the lyrics. Foster composed the music, and Maurice produced it. It's one of the rare songs, not mostly written by EWF, along with Boogie Wonderland and, of course, Got to Get you into My Life.

I specifically moved to England in the early 90’s to learn how to speak English to be able to understand Earth Wind & Fire Michael Jackson Stevie Wonder George Benson …

David Foster is the grandparent-like relative you wanna have around and jam along.

I totally agree & love E.W.& F! BUT I DO have one GREAT one(5 man group) to add up there with E,W,&F, but 1st,I AGREE w/your "excepts" you added also(.. Barry White, Isaac Hayes, JIMMY HENDRIX-best guitar player EVER, no doubt). Could go ON w/excepts...there are more, many more, but I wont. The "5 man GREAT one" I wanted to add is... ...5 great, blessed brothers whose voices, melodies & harmonies, blend SO perfectly -- beautifully, and they sing such romantic songs, in love, broken love, or hurt. Don't Hear all that much romance now, except the ones from "back in the day"💞 ❣️ ...that is the Incomparable TAVARES!💖

Guy is looking mighty fine in that sharp, gorgeous suit!, I must say. 😻❤️ JUST a SIDENOTE, It's 4:21 CDT, I'm watching a great show, "Only the Strong Survive"...Some if the stars are Jerry Butler, Sam of Sam & Dave, Isaac Hayes, Wilson Picket... I didn't know it was coming on, so I missed First part of it. Augh, no telling who I missed. "I'M a SOUUULMAN"!! It's on Bounce, goes til 5 AM...catch what you can! If you can't stay awake, Bounce repeats stuff, watch for it!! I don't know when it was made but at least before 2009? Cuts w/ diff artists... "Walkin' the Dog"--Rufus. Ehh, I can't come up with his last name!! & His daughter........ THOMAS! Rufus & CarlaThomas Pretty good show just fyi

There is just something about David Foster and Nile Rodgers. They are sheer music genius. They write the songs but they also influence the future. The world is a better place with their creative souls driving music.

This is my favorite group of all time.

That's what's great about art. It transcends societal norms, cultures, race, ethnicities, or any other factor that often just separates us. I know that when I play EWF, old, young, black, white, brown, aliens, and humans all collectively sing to the top of their lungs and are enjoying themselves. It's the best 4 minutes ever, and if we could only make that number infinite---imagine what we could all do together

Seen Earth,Wind and Fire in concert numerous times. They will live on and on. Till today still Amazing. If you get a chance Catch Lionel Richie on Tour with them "2023" Can't wait!!! From Alabama and Lionel Richie Never forgets where he came from.

In philippines i used to hear this september song every sunday from yesterdays & todays music I grew up listening this over the radio & now Everytime i heard that song i am emotional bcoz i. Remember my parents & 2 brothers when we were together .. This song is really the best & the after the love was gone song too Very beautiful song...
