    Delightful! Unfortunately, relatively few native speakers can play "ping pong punning" like the very smart set that David describes in his amusing conclusion.

    I wonder if other cultures have an equivalent of our Mexican "albur", which is basically this concept of "ping pong punning": speaker A says a word that triggers an "albur" (a wordplay joke) in order to insult speaker B, going back and forth. "Huele a obo"...
