German people in movies... You can Tell where this is going. I am not even Mad about all the fascist comparisons but PLEASE hire people that actualy know how to do an American-German accent. Its quite disturbing how little the German accent gets represented in more than one Way. Its Always These Barking Dog Words. Fuck that man....

I'll take the Bruce Lee stereotype all day. A blind jedi kung fu master? Fuck yea! I'm all in. That's like the epitome of badassery. I guess it comes down to whether or not you were an Asian American that studied martial arts. Those of us that did, we leaned into that stereotype heavy and ran with it all the way to the bank!

Took an Asian lit course for my degree, read Interior Chinatown which I highly recommend and generally have to say that for as "inclusive" modern media claims to be, Asians have never gotten the representation they deserve in movies and television.

What’s so horrible about Chirut? Yeah, he’s blind but honestly it kinda elevated his take on the force. Less focus on what is seen, rather what is felt. Kinda Tao. Or Zen. It speaks to the basic principles of many Asian cultures. I’d be pickier with a non-blind character. What, should he be swole like Jason Mamoa? Or? I’m fine with the blind Asian. I’m Asian. Also let’s not forget the entire lightsaber aspect of the force is heavily influenced by samurai epics. There is legitimately no shortage of meaningful Asian (and other cultural) influences in the OT and the better productions in the DT, like Andor, Rogue One, etc. As an Asian guy, I refuse to play into the idea that we’re not represented in Star Wars. Edit: Except Nein Nub. Dude should be scrapped from history 😂
