Like if this is what you get all the time from being a euphonium player: "What instrument is that?" "A euphonium" "Whats that?' "It's like a small tuba.."

+Aimee Guest It's true! I've been playing euphonium for 20 years, and trumpet for 10 years before that. And while I'll probably never be at the level David Childs is at, I'm still a pretty good player. But when I started out, I didn't sound nearly as good and struggled at times. All it takes is practice.

I play euphonium, and whenever I don't feel like practicing, all I have to do is listen to David Childs play. I wish I could play like that!

I play Euphonium and played a simplified version of this song for judges when I was just barely 12 years old. I'm 13 now and playing College level pieces and this still blows my mind!

*Dies in awe* I am currently trying to play and or accomplish playing this piece. Right now with lack of experience I may not be able to play it perfectly as he clearly did, but at least when I can play it the way I want to, I can say I did it and I did it well. Like I say my lack of experience because I am only a 15 year old. I will play this piece, whether I like it or not. It will get done!!! You did oh so amazing at that piece!!!! I shall study your techniques and try simular!! Thankyou!!!#

Growing up I learned Bb Trumpet. It wasn't until much later did I learn about the baritone/euphonium horn. I love the warm sound they produce, and I decided to try one out. The transition was not too hard and I had a great time playing it in a small band. What a great instrument.
