He led such a sad a lonely life. It just makes me want to cry thinking about all he hid inside. I wish it could have been different for him. RIP David.

His Whole life he was in pain no body new but him a happy little boy so beautiful always smiling and laughing that was him but most beautiful Important in his life was this music made all his fans happy i still Listen to his music everyday i look at his beautiful face and smile beautiful person he was and well always be in my heart I love you david cassidy you are missed ❤ ♥ 🙏

Totally agree

So sad how he was so alone in the last couple years. Yes there were people there when he died, but where were they when he went through the worst in the years prior to that. Such a sad ending to such an amazing life. Love and light David, you shone a beautiful light on the world and will always be missed 😢 thank you for the music ❤

he refused to connect with family. He pushed them away , they tried many times to connect but he wouldn’t allow it. Shaun talked about it at his shows.

Perhaps the reason he seemed to like to sing “I am a Clown” is because to himself he was a clown, hiding all his pain behind a happy face mask, afraid for anyone to know the truth. He said in one interview that when Jack told him his parents were divorce that he, David, shook all over. That was an emotional shock, something which has been proven to actually change a very young, impressionable child, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. He was betrayed and he felt it throughout his body and never truly recovered. Only God could repair such damage. But one must believe and ask. I’m surprised he could carry around such dark, deeply embedded pain and still be as successful as he was. That is a credit to his determination to keep the pain hidden. As long as he worked, he could ignore the pain, tolerate it, keep it from entering his consciousness. Whenever he stopped working, it would creep out of the shadows to remind him of all the dark and ugly untruths and truths which he would then turn to drugs and alcohol to medicate the pain back into the shadows. His work was his salvation. Once it was gone for good, he had no power or reason to resist the temptation to drown his sorrows and himself. Numbness is better than remembering and feeling it all. So the poison he used to cope is the poison that killed him. Is there any person who can judge all of that rightly? Only his Creator has that right, authority and wisdom to do so. So we leave him in those capable hands. 😢

Sorry, but you got a lot of years mixed up! The pictures were all great! One was of Shaun, David’s brother, it was not him. I guess this was a pretty good try though. I know every single picture, and what year it was taken! David Cassidy, was my idol, my entire life, until he turned into my Hero, when he helped save My Life. He really was more, than I could have imagined him to be! He was not sad, his entire life, as some in the comments claim, David, was extremely happy many, many, many, years of his life. Losing his mother in 2012, is what brought David, down, he was her only child. I can certainly understand that, because I haven’t been the same ever since I lost my beautiful mother. I think the Video would have been so much better, had you just said from Baby until 67 years old, because so many pictures were mixed up that wasn’t in the years, you typed they were. Great Video though! R.I.P Our Beautiful Angel Forever……. DAVID BRUCE CASSIDY ❤

agree he was happy in his sober years ie 1988 to 2008 when he was with Sue, happy in his family life, becoming a father and happy with his career when he did blood brothers and EFX and his live performances in 2002 onwards. As said above, his mum getting sick in 2008 started him drinking and then it got worse and by the time she died he was a mess such a shame he couldnt confide in his family post 2014 that he had started to drink again, instead of making up the dementia story nine months before his death which he openly admitted he did. Such a beautiful person, so sad in his final years RIP dear David
