David Butler's 5-Minute Fireside: God Will Never Forget Us

In this episode of 5-Minute Firesides, David Butler teaches that God is truly aware of each of us and shows His love for us through tender mercies. "As you and I look intensely for them in our lives, I promise you that you will always find Him, because He is always there."

My husband and I are serving a mission in southern California. I'm in charged of the spiritual message for our next Senior Missionary Correlation Meeting. Yours is the fifth message I watched seeking for the message I should share. The minute you started your message, I knew this is the theme of my message, that God knows us personally. A couple of personal experiences came to mind as I listened to your message. Thank you! I also watch and appreciate the Come Follow Me lessons you teach with Emily. Blessings abound!

This came up first on my You Tube feed this morning. My prayer last night was seeking Heavenly Father to let me know He hears me and loves me. My prayer was answered.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸 I certainly did enjoy this one. Today he showed me how easy it was to share the gospel just by answering somebody’s curiosity question. I love your enthusiasm. I love how you share your most difficult times and keep yourself vulnerable to us thank you so much for being authentic💐💕💕💕

This was aired immediately after "Don't Miss This" or I probably wouldn't have taken five minutes to watch it, but it really hit home with me and I need this reminder of His tender mercies. Thank you, David!

I have a Testimony that God is always there… in fact I’ll go one step more in saying .. of all the random people you encounter in your life .. out of the millions of people in the world ..and you meet friends or just a person that seems familiar to you.. I don’t think it’s random .. I think we came to earth together and are with the people we knew intimately in the pre mortal life.. we help each other and try to guide each other home.. Heavenly Father doesn’t make coincidences .. He loves each us individually and wants us to be happy on earth together♥️

Love this. The song at my baptism was just one occasion where Heavenly Father was telling me he knew me. The brother who organized my baptism chose "Battle Hymn of the Republic" for my baptism. His wife wondered at his choice. He said he felt that that song meant something to me. It does and we never talked about what that song means to me. Only way he could have known was that he was lead by Heavenly Father to pick that hymn.

Your right God does know where you are all the time. For God (Heavenly Father) Keeps kicking my stool out from under me to remind me that I am to be punsihed always and seeing me struggling to stand give Him great joy in seeing me fall and struggle and keep on thanking Him for driving my face into the dirt and mud. I know that God only love a sellect few that we see as the ken and barbies of the world the rest are on our own and some He hates.

I appreciate your comments because I'm sure tons of people have felt like you do, that God is somehow punishing you to make your life miserable. Because of my own experiences of feeling knocked down, that if I try to see what I have learned from those hard times and try to see where God had a hand in helping me through them, I gain a different perspective. Looking back, the strength that I eventually gained from those experiences is priceless. It is really hard to see God's help when we are down, but it can be done with some focus and sincerity. We can pray for help to change our attitude and to recognize the good that comes from trials. Instead of "just" seeing the stool knocked out from under us, we can see that "because" the stool was knocked out, here's what I learned, or here is where I see that God helped me to get through it.

Exactly...this world is so big to the point that is seems a little suspicious that the "Kingdom of God" would only equate to ~17 million people (less than 0.01% of the world's population). Thank goodness I just so happened to be one of the lucky few who got to learn the masonic handshakes so I can enter heaven!

This is one of the texts that come along at just the right time David. I am an ex Mormon and god isn't finished with you yet. This is yet another example of someone glorifying Joseph smith and not Jesus Christ. There is no doubt Joseph had an encounter but it was Satan appearing as an angel of light. You see the book of Mormon is not gods word. The Jews were entrusted with the word of god. Romans 3:2. Salvation is to the Jew first and the gentile is grafted in. Romans 1:16. Joseph smith was neither a Jew or a scholar. Whenever something is revealed to the body of Christ it must pass through the Jewish scholars first. Scholars have looked at Joseph smith claims and Its consensus that the book of Mormon is fiction. There is no archaeology to support the massive battles of the lamanites or Levite's, or text. Joseph smith prophecies failed. A good documentary on you tube is "Mormonism exposed, stay away from this cult." Faith is the "evidence" of things hoped for and god does not require a leap of faith off a cliff. The only evidence for Mormonism is that its fiction. Gods word is not determined by a mans feelings but by god himself. He tells us to study to show thyself a workman approved and not ashamed. I recommend a book titled " gods word, final, infallible, forever, by Floyd mcelveen. The canon of scripture is confined to the holy bible. Read from that only and see if religious beliefs measure up to it.
