Love the forward thinking inspirational route of the guy. Even if our "creator" has the main aim to always trap us, we give up? Never, it's a challenge and we give our all, keeping both the "creator" and us well driven and entertained. Bring it on.

What if we are the ones also running the simulation? In really playing this game, we are somehow simply entertaining ourselves or participating in some larger function. Sort of like eastern religions who say we are actually a projection of some larger thing that is simply wanting to experience something new and surprise ourselves.

That’s a similar idea to what some NDEers say: that we are willing participants in the school of life, souls on a journey of learning and love. They feel this reality isn’t the fundamental one, just a place to learn and grow and bring those experiences back to our real lives on the other side.

Even if the material universe is not base reality, it doesn't mean it's fake. It's just a subset of a larger reality. And our conscious experience here is still real, even if material reality is "simulated."

This was simply awesome

if we do live in a simulation maybe one thing we could try and figure out is what type of simulation are we in? what is the common denominator that keeps occurring that could give us a glimpse at what the purpose of the simulation is. with that being said. IF we are in a simulation I would thing that the simulation was made to throw every type of terrible situation at our species to see if we can figure out how to overcome it. if we can't we die. the makers of the simulation still learn from it. if we do figure it out then they learn from that. but at the same time if "they" had the technology to run a simulation as detailed as our planet is they probably have figured out most of the problems we face anyway. just thinking out loud.

David is a great author. I'm glad it turns out he's as intellectually sound as his books appear to be.

Heres the thing, if it's all a simulation, then there has to be a real one in which was created by some entity that's NOT us...other beings maybe?

Metaphors allow us to grasp the general structure/function/purpose of what is happening in certain events. Our brains ability to extrapolate geometrical data and internaly visualize that content is specifically designed so we can develope an " out of the box " perspective. This perspective is the colaberated electrical/genetic evolutionary efforts of your minds continued goal to gather information and further understand its environment. That information is then passed on Electricaly/genetically to our children and the unified consciousness.

But, you're right now thinking on yourself, and nothing can take that from you. When this stops, you are no more. So you are by yourself independent of reality for this fact. You exist at this point. It doesn't even matter if time-space exists. If you can think of yourself (you are conscious) you exist no matter what.

"What happens when they turn off the game?" Same thing that happens when we turn off our virtual realities (video games) here. We go back to doing other things, which exist outside of this virtual "dimension."

If we are created in the imagination of a greater consciousness physical manifestation becomes the centrality of both religious and scientific study. It is not fake but reality based upon observation.

I personally suppose that if we were in a simulation , we wouldn't know it , you don't know when you're dreaming , your computer along with its software don't realize any sort of possibilities of an external source controlling them , so i think that the fact that we are discussing this hypothesis in itself is a proof against it . I might be completely wrong though.

Actually,sometimes you do know you are dreaming. This is in a lucid dream when you become aware while dreaming that you are actually dreaming. Many people today are becoming aware of the oddness of our ''reality'' and are bit like the character asleep having a dream becoming aware that it is really a dream.

I don't think we are alone there is more life in the universe and if there they are like us genetically maybe they more advanced or less, depending on time but genetically they still be us if big bang theory is correct then chimest cannot be more different.

Guys i have a theory about the Universe, Blackhole, Dimension and how it is related to the time and species from large to the smaller or smalless organism. its up to you guys if you believe it or not.... First the universe... Universe: I think it’s alive or maybe it a being that we all the rest of the universe inside like humans there a million or billion of organism reside us living. Blockholes: I think of it is like mouth of the universe or the way to feed to keep alive. Dimension: In my view it like a pyramid table upside-down or how it is divided, and related to time. From the slower time to faster time or dimension… To let trillion of species alive and to be born…Has everyone knows that from our body they are millions of organisms but the time they reside is faster right? See how bacteria multiple fast? And our universe or planets orbit so slow? SEE the patterns? Well there still lots to explain but I leave it for now. Examine my theory and see how things around us going. And you will see a pattern that atleast my theory is related to it.

I guess you see an apparent chaos in the life of stars, but if you see any chaos in the universe, it is due to your own limited mind and view that interpret something as chaotic, there is order/hidden order in everything in this universe, whether you think it "looks" neat and clean and orderly or not. This is not just a religious or philosophical view point, science and physics have also confirmed that this universe is actually the most ideal universe you can come up with, and they are very puzzled by this

Yes but we see they are not. Because we know that many planets are too hostile for life. Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturnus, Uranus and Neptune are too hostile for life. Hundreds of exoplanets are too hostile for life. Therefore you are wrong with claming universe is perfect. Not to mention genetic code has errors. Why else you would have handicapped babies or babies with flaws?Whoever made the universe didn't make it very friendly to life as far as we know. However some of law of physics in our universe are on the klife edge. If you would change them 1-30% life would be impossible..So other words universe if unique but not perfect. That's the difference..

Pekka Rintala so you think a perfect world is a world where life pops up everywhere? our minds are very very very limited, how do you know that if the whole universe was hospitable, it would not create chaos and misery among them ? it`s like a baby asking why there aren`t any humans in the mountains or under the oceans? the baby does not understand that mountains are not just pieces of rocks, but are very crucial for life on this planet, and same with the oceans. it`s the same with diseases, a baby will say why are there bees and flies and why do they bite? he/she doesnt know that these insects serve a crucial role for life on this planet. ultimately everything is working for the ultimate good of all, whether you see it as something useful or not.

Is there only plants and trees and some dolphin-like creatures on other planets or are there intelligent life as well?If we were only species in the universe then I would say God is very incompetent. He would have billions of dead planets with no life and black holes and hostile universe and only one planet of life. Then he would be very incompetent.Now let me ask you a question. Do you believe there is life in other planets? Plans and animals? What about human-like creatures?

I'm arguing with a guy on another video that thinks he has discovered "objective truth" so that we are just "parts of the universe doing what the universe does." I tried having a discussion, but he is determined to be "right" and will accept nothing but total submission to his bizarre formulation. I finally had to wish him luck and sign off. Everything we experience may very well be an illusion, but Ego is a force of nature.
