This is a really good song. Too bad many people don't know that he did a lot of stuff post-70s that rival the 70s stuff. This is one of those pieces.

Fue un genio. Bowie hizo tantas canciones diferentes y con estilos tan distintos que pocos artistas tienen tanto registro musical como él. Y luego su voz tan único y diferente. El más grande FOREVER AND EVER.

He had some big hits in the 80's as well, like Let's Dance and Blue Jean, but many don't know as much of his later songs, sadly.
His voice! His vocal here is to me absolutely amazing, raw, pure, heart-breaking, and beautiful.

the best voice range,Elvis had it too n could do opera ,amazing. if u listen to his early days "BlueMoon" never made no.1 but it should've never went unnoticed. we are their best critics ,we really get into a song n Really listen to the masterpiece. and know it as soon as a few notes are played...
I listen to today's music, then I listen to David Bowie :-)

This is a very intense live version of a much more recent song from Bowie's massive catalog. It's a perfect example of why David Bowie will live on for many, many, many years after his recent passing. This particular song takes you way back to those early years at the very beginning of the seventies where David wrote and sang so many of his most famous iconic song's that had that special unique ness, in sound, structure and delivery, that literally separated David from everyone else who was creating music in those day's. David's Iconic voice and singing style made him incredibly famous and instantly recognizable to everyone anytime a Bowie song was playing even if you weren't familiar with that particular song, you would instantly know that it was David Bowie. His incredibly unique style for writing and structureing music coupled with his incredibly unique voice and delivery style created a whole new category of music in which he was the only member. David's look and appearance grew and changed as he evolved as a singer and musician. Although David did change and morph his physical appearance many, many times throughout the years. The one constant that did not change was David's ability to create original music that was all his own and completely different than anyone else who came before or after him. It's a little sad, but, there are many, many people out there that have never heard this song before. This was a song that you never heard played on the radio in those day's, or in any of the most popular night club's back in the day. This is just one of many little jewels you can find if you were to sit down and listen to Bowie's entire catalog. If you decided to sit down and attempt to create a list that put all of his albums in order from best to worst, you would find at least one Jewel on every single album he ever recorded. Regardless of whether a particular album sold well or not. There are deffinetly more than a few song's on all of his albums that now would be considered part of the group of songs that everyone agrees are his very, very best. David Bowie was a mega superstar of the highest order and should be placed right next to Mickel Jackson, Prince, and Elvis. His legacy is massive and set in stone. RIP David Bowie. You will be remembered and you will be missed sir. ❤😢😅

He's been voted the greatest rock star of all time, and rightfully so, who could compare? No one. His prolific output spans multiple genres as he reinvented himself many times, with always a few brilliant defining hits that would be anybody elses claim to fame, yet he always moved on to another artistic challenge
Поражает, насколько он эмоционально вкладывается в песню. Талантище, что тут еще сказать

@@lisabarron3367 He was no Satanist. If you referring to his early coked up years, he was fundamentally whacked out on coke and exploring various spiritual beliefs. It was very brief. He has never hurt children and has "an unshakable belief in God." He also wrote "Word on a Wing" during that tortured period of his life. He hated Satanists and religious hypocrites of all types.

Do you know what what the Black Star is & represents? ☆ And yeah, Bowie did get into Aleister.Crowley along with Jimmy Page. Both of 'em being Capricorn by birth, ruled by Saturn! 🪐 🙄 Radiohead & Elvis also wrote songs called BlackStar. Look at the sigil of Blue Oyster Cult. Another version of the symbol for Saturn.
what a masterpiece for my ears
His best album imho after station to station. Lots ot really sweet neo romantic songs like New angels of promise and survive to.

This version of something in the air is better than the original
I sorely missed Reeves Gabrel's guitar wails. Where was he? He co-wrote this great song.

Reeves Garbrels decided to quit working with Bowie as he was unhappy during the making of this album. When they were recording the album it initially sounded a bit more raw (Gabrels compared it to the Diamond Dogs album) but then Bowie decided he wanted a much more smooth sounding album and had parts redone. He even wanted the band TLC to sing vocals on Thursday's Child but Gabrels put his foot down and convinced him not to. Gabrels decided that he'd finish making the album and then split ways when it was done.

@@shaggydog9789 Thank you, Dog. All decisions must be respected. Reeves' and David's. " I've been with you too long... and there's nothing left to say...".
I think he’s singing this to himself-about his past and present self

It's true, it hurts, this guitarist takes emotion away from the song, I do not like his arrangements .
