@@stuartwray6175, Bowie was very accomplishes as a saxophonist, a pianist, and played acoustic guitar a great deal. He learnt lead guitar and played it himself on the Diamond Dogs album, so that would make him a great musician too as well as singer and songwriter. And yes he always had great musicians in his band too. Very much so sttgaegoaktd 😛😛😛😛😛😛😛

He claimed he wasn't a musician. More than once. But in other interviews, admittedly sometime later, he referred to himself as one, all part of his evolution. Whatever way you look at it, whatever he could play, and he was largely self taught, he was absolutely full of musicality. You can be a dancer who plays no instrument and can't sing in tune and still full of musicality. We won't see another Bowie in our lifetime. He is still influencing music, art, fashion and popular culture today. Whatever he was, we were so lucky to have witnessed his genius.✨️

Bowie's cover of Pink Floyd's See Emily Play was a remarkable three-way cross between 70's glam, 60's psychedelia, and 50's avant garde jazz. Shows how deep the roots of Blackstar extend.

Emily tries but misunderstands She's often inclined to borrow somebody's dreams 'till tomorrow There is no other day Let's try it another way You'll lose your mind and play Free games for May See Emily play Soon after dark Emily cries Gazing at trees in sorrow hardly a sound 'till tomorrow There is no other day Let's try it another way You'll lose your mind and play Free games for May See Emily play Put on a gown that touches the ground Float on a river for ever and ever Emily There is no other day Let's try it another way You'll lose your mind and play Free games for May See Emily play

I know what you mean. I think Bowie's most genial song is Kooks. Such joy!
