A rare 19 5/8" Polyphon disc, commissioned by Henson Associates and Lucasfilm Ltd and composed by David Bowie for the motion picture 'The Labyrinth'. Played on an antique Disc Musical Box made by Polyphon in 1898. The disc was made in 1986 especially for this type of musical box, to then be recorded and used in the film.

I can't stop crying I love this so much - I have dreamed of finding a bit of this song on a music box..
Randomly wanted to hear this track played with music box sounds. End up getting a video of s real genuine labrynth prop that was made for a music box. As a vinyl lover i aprecate the work that must go into placement of them holes to trigger each note. The music box it self needs a note tuning a bit. But im blown away that this was on here haha

Im scared to look for a genuinely real and good music box, that be big or small that plays this tune. I can’t tell you how much I want one. I got introduced to the Labyrinth as a 2000s kid, and even now it’s still stuck to me. It’s one of the only few 80s dark fantasy films that had such a big impact on me man, and anytime i come across Sarah’s music box on the internet, i don’t let myself buy any because i just want a good one hrjtjenfkskrnksfj like a real one yk. not some cheap ass one from wish

I would have loved one of these. My mum said that when my nan was young she had one but my great-granddad was a drinker and gambled away practically everything. The bailiffs ended up with it along with a lot of other valuable stuff. We could have been well off today but we'll never know.

Wasn't there only two polyphonic discs made for the movie? Can you have replicas made?

The "bang" in the middle of the song was actually the coin being deposited into the coin storage.
