I would say it did, the man was still working on music the week before he passed, which is amazing. Of course he stopped doing shows live and left recording for awhile, but leaving that to be a dad is my fav thing about Bowie, among many others. I think he left behind more than enough great live shows and a body of work greater than any other artist. I think his voice was much better after he stopped doing live shows. He was singing with power on the Next Day and on the original version of Sue. At some point every artist goes on break, his was only really 2 years actually, he did no music work in 2008 and 2009, then 2010 started working on the Next Day.

He even bloody thought of making another album right after Blackstar and he already recorded at least 3 songs iirc, as tony Visconti said, one of them was called "blaze" or it was a Blackstar outtake.

BowieNet & Me: Getting the chance to be in this studio audience (8H, the SNL one) by being a member of his remarkably visionary internet 'fan club' (free, btw) was one of the highlights of my Bowie life. Guess I should try to figure out how to upload the full musical performance included of my VHS copy of this 'Carson Daly Show' since no one else has. But this wasn’t even the highlight of that weird post 9/11 thank gawd I’ve got Bowie to get through this 2002 year. The real highlight was the BowieNet show at Roseland June, 11, 2002. The first time he did 'Low' live front to back, plus a killer 2nd set. That my husband & I ended up being placed in the photographers pit front center because of his broken foot is one of the many 'Bowie Miracle Moments' I was lucky enough to have. He, Iman, & Lexie had moved into their new Lafayette St. penthouse in 1999, right around the corner from our (very much missed) former Prince St. apt. Running into him at the 'SoHo Garden' Korean deli & just on the street would make my heart leap. Never bothered him, but it was so wonderful when we gave each other a nod & a smile. I miss you, David. Thanks for so much music, & so many shows- stadiums, arenas, theaters, & even 'The World' nightclub for Tin Machine's June, 14, 1989 mini-tour opening date. Thanks for more than you’ll ever know...

He is so cute and so smart. There was a terrible shift in the 80's with VH1, and MTV. It was fun, the videos creative, however, Hollywood suddenly took over and songs had and to a certain percent still have a sameness to the sound. The women are super sexual and protesting provocative songs are less prevelant. We have our heads buried in the cell phones, Internet , Instagram,
