As if being spotted & singled out by David Bowie isn’t grand enough on its own, what’s equally amazing is; she wasn’t a minor, didn’t smoke, had an unblemished record and stayed silent out of, wait for it...RESPECT FOR HER PARENTS. Very impressive.

She also didn't talk about it to her kids out of respect for her husband. An undoubtedly virtuous individual; good for her.

We lived in the city, I asked my parents to take me to the show at MSG, they refused, and I didn’t actually get to see a concert until 1981 when I was 13. KISS and Elton faded for me, but I’m still a big fan of David Bowie, and Station to Station is my favorite album. @@SeamHead33 My point is he was arrested for being in possession of pot during a period where he was heavily using cocaine, a drug that actually does have serious effects. It was stupid to criminalize weed in the first place but I was really pointing out the irony of the situation. Many rock stars of that era were doing hard drugs and sleeping with underage girls. So it's funny that Bowie's famous mugshot was an arrest for something that was ultimately pretty harmless.

What fun! My brother was friends with Carlos, Dennis and George. When they wheeled into Phoenix in 1978, I was at my job ( I was 19) and when I came home my mom said that a Mr. Alomar called and left tickets for me. I already had 4th row center, so I gave them away. We had instructions to meet up at the hotel and we had drinks together. Sat with us about 45 minutes. I never would have asked for an autograph (too needy) but two kids came up and asked, as they walked away David said, "can I sign one for you?" It is still a treasured possession!
