His average will hopefully increase in the future and then he could become a very important aspect to this great Cubs team.

That’s just unbiased real talk. I love the way they are swinging the bat and the run support is phenomenal. But ,when you get deep into those playoffs, pitching is key. Hopefully they can reel Darvish back in and have a renewed spark.

Speaking of bullpens, how about the cubs bullpen? I like the way they’ve been looking lately. In the 3rd inning I’ve been yelling from my bed for Maddon to pull Lester and give him some relief. I don’t know why Maddon likes to stretch Lester out so long when he’s struggling especially like he was on Saturday vs the Nats when he gave up 9 runs . Pull the fucking man! Give him some damn rest! Our bullpen has been great. And Pedro Strop has been looking like Pedro Martinez with his closing abilities. I also love the addition of our new southpaw Hamels. How can you not like that guy?

And even though he doesn’t like the cubs he will always root for them because of her, like in the world series he was rooting for them the whole way just so he can see her super excited and jumping up and down 😂

The Cubbies need pitching. It would make no sense to go after Harper. They don't need him and quite honestly already have guys on the roster that can play his position as well if not better in certain aspects for a lot less than he is going to want and Epstein doesn't seem like the type to open the coffers just for name recognition. He wouldn't be the 'star', that role belongs to Biez right now, and he probably wouldn't be an everyday starter when you have guys like Schwarber, Zobrist and a few others all wanting playing time.

I was watching the whole game live. It was crazy. The game was so intense because there wasn't a huge run difference. It was basically a duel between the two elite starting pitchers. Combined, they allowed only one run and allowed three or four hits in seven innings. And for the last two innings, the relief pitchers allow a combined total of six runs.
