Being relatively new to boxing I find it amazing how calm pros are taking shots. I can get frustrated being tagged but I guess getting used to it is part of the game.

you just need to be calm and try to see those shots. if your just closing your eyes and youre being scared the shots will have more impact

Best light spar I ever saw great work he working on alot only fighters know what I'm talking about

I like Benavidez's style of sparring. It's a mix of technical, learning, and a little bit of power.

Obviously he's working with this dude in this round instead of charging forward and taking him out (which wouldn't help David improve). So he's working his defense and countering and the other dude gets to throw more heat and improve by getting a first hand look at a world champion.

@@TheNoobHub i agree but it might not be as effective as Bivols pressure tho, and yeah he has some pop but like i said it wasn't enough , Plant knocking out the dawg was just a perfectly placed left hook to the chin,and thats all he had to hurt Benavidez, but DB came in well prepared for that also he ate all of plants shots

That’s not what live training is about. Of course when at that level you can walk in there and dominate your sparring partner. But that’s your training/practice partner you don’t want to hurt him either. At this level you are using these sessions to work on certain things that you want to improve on and nothing else. Looks to me like his working on his defense and head and body movements. You’re basically sharpening your skills and techniques by isolating them and just focusing on each one, dedicating whole workouts to focus on whatever you’re coaches want you to work on and strengthen.

@chuckb3489 Chuck no disagreement I get it !!! My point is David is to big for the Division!!! This was like Shaq in the NBA !!! Shaq size played a big difference for him being great !!! Truth was he had no special effects other than his size !!! If you would of raise the Basket height up !!! An made all the players the same size as Shaq !!! Nobody would even know him today !!! Because all the great talent would surpass him !!! Imagine Colby , Michael Jordan, ect all the size of Shaq !!! Shaq would look like a 🐢!!! Iverson same size Busting moves !!!
