according to the mother, caleb and his father were adamant that boxing was first and foremost important. Plant wasn't there when the daughter was born, and Plant's father was horrible to the mom, telling her not to distract caleb because boxing was so important. So everything with a grain of salt.

Benavidez and his fam live/train near the town I grew up in. One time I was walking down the aisle at the local grocery store and he was behind me and accidentally stepped on my shoe and apologized about it twice. Based of his body language and how he reacted to what had happened I could just tell how humble he is as a man. I went on to ask him if he was Benavidez, he confirmed and dabbed me up, even asked if I wanted to take a pic. 🤝🏽 Been one of my fave fighters since that day. #teambenavidez

Yeah but Benavidez got dropped by a complete tomato can Gavril. Plant got dropped by Canelo and got up. Huge difference.

This is what its all about, two top tier fighters facing each other. Got mad respect for the both of them.

This will be a great fight! When you put 2 fighters together who came from nothing and have had to endure the impossible, I am happy for either man win or lose, because they are both very rare athletes, no fear, no regrets, no excuses. I respect more the fighters that take the more dangerous fights.

That left hook on Dirrell was brutal, what a punch. Plant’s won me over, and the addition of Breadman to his camp is brilliant. Love this fight.

idk about y'all, but a huge reason why i love watching combat sports is bc of the sportsmanship, respect, and humility. to participate in a gladiator sport and remember that you're human at the end of the fight, you have to show appreciation whether you hate your opponent or have love for them. it's a tough genre of sports that only a small percentage of us can do at an extremely high level.. this will be entertaining 🍿

I always thought that if Caleb Plant would sit down on his punches he'd be a lot to handle. Defensively he's always been excellent, and his ribg IQ is superp. His problem has always been that he never had enough "gun" to make an elite fighter respect him enough to win with his old style. He learned this the hard way against Canelo. With his renewed commitment to sitting on punches, he's a scary prospect to deal with.

Got David. Benavidez is the wrong guy to face if you’re a prone to stamina issues. Issues Caleb’s had in the past and now, he looks bulkier. Close fight early, then Benavidez takes over.
