I loved that scene so dang much

I absolutely loved David this season. I always liked him, but his mature version is wonderful! the fact that he lost his fear and bothersome insects, the fact that he (being the most fearful before) threw himself into the world of fairies with only a string holding him back just to save Hilda... And the fact that he took care of Frida when she was unwell. Ah, a true gentleman.

I loved the way they made David a bit braver and more confident in Season 3.

I love how far David has come. He hit puberty hard, I thought they were going to replace his voice actor, but as the VA aged, David aged as well. I like that and I want to see it in more cartoons with child actors.

@@Dandelionsinthesky I'm still surprised at how long Zach was able to use his younger voice despite him obviously growing up throughout the show's production (6 years). It was a good thing that the showrunners finally let him use his actual pitch in the movie.

Sometimes I actually forget how deep his voice is now😂🤣

David's updated design is my favourite this season. I feel like if I figured out my style preferences at that age, I would've wanted to look like him

Yeah, I think I prefer the newer designs. The old ones were fine, I just find the new ones more aesthetically pleasing, I guess. And I wish Hilda's was more different too, but I did notice she doesn't have her blue skirt on anymore, so it is a little different.

David had the most character growth between seasons 2 and 3. He's so much braver, confident, and relaxed.

I haven't seen the new season yet, but it looks like they went with aging up the characters instead of replacing the VA for David altogether. I was a bit curious as to what would happen since in the movie, it was pretty clear that the VA was hitting puberty. I'm glad they went with that choice.

I greatly enjoyed when animated series age up their (kid) characters along with their VAs; it just feels more authentic to the characters’s development, and respectful to the VA (instead of replacing them with someone younger). Fin from Adventure Time is the only kid character in a long running animated series where they aged him up to match his VA (Jeremy Shada); Fin started the series as 12, and ended the series as 17 (plus the spinoff material shows him as an adult since Jeremy is an adult now).

I mean, canonically, in the movie, they are a bit older than in Season 1, but i would love to see a new movie design for them, like a mid-stage between children (Season 1 and 2) and teens (Season 3)

David puberty went crazy

He is way better in season 3 then seasons 1 and 2- he was at 1st annoying but in season 3 one of the best characters

I gasped audibly every time he spoke until like season 3 episode 4- the voice change though.

David always reminded me of Charlie Brown and Finn from Adventure Time 😘😘😘🩵🩵🩵😂😂😂😁👍🤍

I feel like you can tell their personalities more with their new looks, like they both had similar color schemes and kinda blended in with the other background character, but their new outfits seem to show more of their own personalities
