Who is listening to this masterpiece in 2024?
@bernhardrauch4804
2 ай бұрын
Me! 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ I listened to DMB since 1991. HOW could this be? Love Crosover-Prog-Surprise-Rock-Singer-Songwriter-Music. Should I say, since DMB? Yes. BUT, can’t believe anybody, first of all me, DMB is full of my playlists, but in the meantime I was so familiar (but listening to Neal Morse and really good stuff) I found out DMB is touring … Germany! But it’s gone. I have absolut no idea why. I never seen DMB, just always listened to it. Why????? Yesterday I felled into the Central Park concert, and all the other outstanding live appearances. Unbelievably amazed am I. IT‘s Deserved Masterpieces Believe it (DMB) 🤦♂️🤣 and listen to it, feel it and cry for joy. What a hidden story between DMB me … and I. 😅 Sorry! I even thought of driving to Brussels to 1. May 2024. Too far for money and time table. Just bought the live recordings. Party here. Please celebrate and party there. Hope there will be a Bluray some day …

I think the guitar playing is phenomenal but the song itself is kind of boring..meh! maybe it's me but I just don't give that much of a shit about how Cortez brutalized or whatever the South American Indians. If it wasn't for Cortez those people would still be living in mud huts and doing human sacrifices to the gods. All of that bs about how the Spanish killed the Aztecs is just the natural cycle of things on this planet. I’m going on 70 y.o. and found this video less than a week ago - it’s actually the first time I’ve ever even heard of this song, but I ❤ it! It amazes me in a way that the lyrics to many songs that were written/composed for the 1st time quite some years ago seem to have more relevance today than they did originally for multiple reasons. This is one of them imo! * UPDATE: It’s the beginning of ‘24, and since I wrote this comment, I’ve accumulated many other versions of this song. Holy Smoke....it doesn't get any better than thie!
I think my favorite part of this video is when David gives Warren the go ahead on the second solo.. he just stares at his hands. He’s wondering how Warren will top his first solo, and he (like me) shakes his head when he sees Warren unleash that Les Paul, out of awe. Dave said "damn" during Warren's jam
Wow! Sound of the soulful God, blessed! Orgasmic sounds of creation....deep fabric of love and ecstasy.
Warren Haynes is a legend in his own right... how sweet is his performance here for all of the world to see? Wow, he ranks at the top!
This cover is just damn magical! The sounds just seep deep down into your bones and soul.
This version with Warren Haynes and DM, along with the version that Grace Potter did with Joe Satriani are two of my top five songs of all time! They are both great, but different!

This song is beautiful. I wish my Dad were still here to see this because he would have loved it so much
May be the best cover ever..
He came dancing across the water With his galleons and guns Looking for the new world And the palace in the sun On the shore lay Montezuma With his coca leaves and pearls In his halls, he often wandered With the secrets of the world And his subjects gathered 'round him Like the leaves around a tree In their clothes of many colors For the angry gods to see And the women all were beautiful And the men stood straight and strong They offered life in sacrifice So that others could go on Hate was just a legend And war was never known The people worked together And they lifted many stones And they carried them to the flat lands But they died along the way And they build up with their bare hands What we still can't do today And I know she's living there And she loves me to this day I still can't remember when Or how I lost my way He came dancing across the water Cortez, Cortez What a killer
Insane!!! The crowd didn't know what they were getting in to!

Legendary shit here !!! Amazing ...
One of my all time favorite bands, just as carter Beauford is one of my all time favorite drummers. I’ve Been listening to DMB since I was 11. I’m 30 now, and they’re still right near the top of my list. I’m so thankful I found this gem of a song. Probably my favorite song right now, and it makes the perfect song to drink to. Not because the lyrics or anything, I just love the feel of the song.

Yeah, even though I'm a Total Guitar Player Geek, and Guitar Gear Geek, every time I have seen DMB Live, I can't stop watching and listening to Carter Beauford the whole time/show, he is such a Master Drummer, it always makes me fantasize wondering Wow, I'd Really like to hear Carter in Something Heavier Rock, something Hard Rockin' for Sure

@@dennisalves8766 oh man he really is a master of his craft. He may not be the fastest, most technical or anything, but he’s still a master.
Oh my god. One of the best covers ever. Got to up for work in 3 hours but can't stop listening to this.
Sometimes a performing artist will take a brilliant composition and elevate it beyond the composer's dreams. The muses thus work together. Young was so magnificent. This is beyond. Perfection.
Best Version Ever ❤
the best performance on stage ever
