Just come across this JP FINE JOB on the Accompanying guitar work Mr.Gunning outstanding picking! now if you could just get a wee bit more spring in yer knees and bounce a bit while you are playing you would pull off a fine reenactment of how JohnAllan played that live...seen him a few times at Fergus picking the ButterFingers medley....you done it well JohnAllan would be proud!

Did JAC play down pick like this or did he play with an alternate picking style?

For the most part he used a thumb pick and his fingers and it depended on the song, the tempo, in his later years he changed up how he played some songs, there is a couple of live vids of him a few years before he passed playing BFM with his son and he changed how he played it went from picking to strumming...I much prefer the original version, its just what I am used to I guess as that was the version I grew up with.

You could do worse than have J.D. helping on rhythm
