Oh yes- what I meant was (but perhaps didn’t express it properly) that we’ve definitely gotten older but stayed with the same sort of music, so so much has changed and we’ve been really aware that we’ve been getting left behind. Part of the intention behind this was to open ourselves up to new music and get out of our 90’s/early 2000’s bubble. The changes in slang especially- we’re really appreciating people clueing us in! (Same as when someone told me that emojis aren’t just pictures but can have double meanings 🤦🏻‍♀️) So thanks enormously for your comments.

Ive just watched your 2 other reactions to Dave and then this one, his depth of lyrics really are what hes about, in a song he says "why be the best if no one knows it" he does these mainstream songs in hopes people listen to his more meaningful songs regarding racism, poverty, austerity and politics. Would suggest the song "black" live at the brits, lots of lyrics around hard issues that need to be voiced

Thanks for the info. We’ve got that version of Black down as a request from lots of people so hopefully we’ll get to do it at some point. I’ve listened to WAAITT a lot since we recorded these reactions and it was one of my fave albums of the year. Dave is definitely a different class and an important voice

ic3 is police speak for ethnicity ic1 is white, ic3 is black, ic4 is west Asian, ic5 is east Asian. ic3 can also refer to "opps" opps = enemies. dmu is demontfort university in Leicester. another easy listen for Dave is location ft burna boy. also Dave psycho and Lesley from his album psychodrama which the whole album is him talking to a therapist very interesting

Thanks Jim, and sorry for butchering your surname! 😔 It'd been a long day and I just had a momentary brain freeze! Was great to hear something different from him. It was probably what I was expecting from him in general and really enjoyed the track. I think it's easy to forget the people and artists are multifaceted as Dave shows really well.

Hey guys love the vids. I recommend reacting to more fredo especially his album that came out earlier in the year “money can’t buy happiness” there are lot of good songs on there. He shows a totally different, more open vibe into his life. Keep up the good work
