This was a great show. The 82 tour was really good, however, 1979 Rockpile was amazing. Wishing Dave Edmunds good health

Unfortunately, the good 'uns have been aging out and checking out on a weekly, almost daily basis. Most of my musical heroes are a decade or so older than me but my health has been oretty dicey for years ( 3 heart surgeries) and so I never thought I'd be outliving my favorite musicians. Still, I'm glad to be old enough to have experienced rock n roll when it was vibrant and alive like this.

Dave Edmunds was a great guitarist and influence on many players in the late 70's

I have loved Dave Edmunds’ music for almost 40 yrs! Thank you for sharing and reminding me of my younger days! Awesome!

Dave’s a brilliant musician and singer . I’ve been a fan since his first solo album “ Rockpile” and then I discovered his band Love Sculpture . He’s been a favorite of mine for many years. If he has had to slow or retire due to any health issues I’m really sorry to hear it.

As the band's monitor engineer, for several years, it was an amazing, super fun ride!

Why dave and nick ever split ways ill never know . The pair of them bounced so well off each other. Dave Edmunds , an amazing rocknroll guitarist , and artist without a doubt

Amongst The Beatles and Jefferson Airplane you had Frank Zappa, and Iggy & The Stooges. I was impressed and curious. "How did my 12 year old brother discover and come to appreciate this more esoteric music?" Years later, you developed a fondness for piano jazz, and also for Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, Rockpile, and Los Straightjackets...! I'd love to hear the story of how you discovered these, and I'll tell you mine. BTW, Mike, Dave Edmunds references "Henry Junior Ford". Henry Ford the first's son I believe, but Dave may be referring to a model made for about five years in the 1950s called the "Henry J"...I have to look up the lyrics to see, but for an Englishman it's a pretty obscure reference. Killer piano playing (and accordion too)!

Possibly the best rock and roll band ever. Put Tettry Williams on drums, maybe 1c better. Sad to think it was so long ago. Mickey G passed, Edmunds is a recluse, Watkins still gigs, John David is sweet if you write to him, - I did after watching this concert onYT, he replied that I should have better things to do. Dave Charles I do not know about now.

What do you mean Dave is a recluse? He's retired and enjoying it. Just because someone who was in the public eye withdraws from it, doesn't mean they've become a recluse, just means people like you don't see them so often and then jump to the wrong conclusions.

Hot band here with Dave. I first saw Dave in the early 80’s at The Powerhouse/Locarno in Birmingham. I remember Geraint playing Piano. It might have this line up? I think Dave was promoting ‘DE7’

Edmunds and David were two thirds of Love Sculpture, Mickey Gee (deceased) stunning guitarist, who played with some of the greats, Geraint Watkins part of Bill Wyman's band, his own bands, resident at The Stow Away Club, Newport (Tony Atoria on vocals) All old contacts from the 60's, along with Congo Jones, Eddie Williams (two third of Arthur Mello along with Mickey Gee). Good days

"From Small Things, Mama, Big Things One Day Come "is truly a weird song, almost like a Warren Zevon tune. The way it begins, you think it's going to be something like Chuck Berry's "Cest La Vie, You Never Can Tell" but it morphs into something a little darker ---- and bloodier 😳.

You could start with Edmunds' version of "I Hear You Knockin'", the first of him I ever heard on the radio here in the US, back in the 70's. There's also an excellent Rockpile concert with Edmunds and Nick Lowe on KZread (even hotter than this one here in my opinion). I own a 1/2 dozen or so of Edmund's recordings on vinyl, from the Rockpile album Seconds of Pleasure to Dave's own Tracks on Wax, Twangin', and DE 7th, and another I can't recall at the moment due to senioritis, and the only record I didn't like was titled Information. He did a lot of production and recording for other bands in the 1980's and early 90's.
