wow thats just an outstanding job...

i have read that Snell has in its standard that the helmet can be painted . however you need to block the vents because if the clear or solvant based paint(authomotive paint) gets in it will destroy the foam inside . (as show by a vid here on youtube)

Its Concept Paints an Australian company. I use stylus fine line tape.

How do you get the tape to go down curved? whenever I lay out the tape on my helmets it gets too many kinks in it to make a nice curved stripe

First step you said painted black, was that black primer or like a base coat? I have been painting helicopters and aircraft parts and its a process that never changes so I do not get to try new colors or techniques or other types of paint than what we always use on the aircraft so I want to start trying other things and types of paint.

how long do you have before you have to take the tape off ? and how long do you wait to put tape on over a color?
