    I hate people like you. They are fucking comedians, they learn to make any messed up, twisted and or crazy scenario sound funny/logically sound. That is their job. They are not politicians, they are not philosophers. They don't know shit about any of it, they just have superficial ideas regarding it.

    I love and adore Dave Chappell, he’s a beautiful dude with such an introspective Mind. I’d love to hear Dave speak about what’s happening now in 2020, I know he’s not happy and can put it into perspective to people who are happy with Trump and happy with the unrest in this country. He has an amazing way of opening peoples eyes and hearts to important issues. He’s a deep genius! He’s someone to stand behind when he speaks, because he doesn’t get on stage and lie about his true feelings about the state of our country. He’s just a great man, an Amazing stand-up, and a genius!

    Such an enlightened comment. "Hit the thumbs up for me please, since I'm talking about a show that literally everyone loved!" That show and his specials were/are great, but he was terrible during this interview. The fact that he still calls Kanye a genius, when he's clearly mentally ill -- as is our orange orangutan in chief -- is disturbing. The fact that he cannot call out Trump as the racist fascist that he is is sad. I thought Dave was never afraid to speak his mind. He was either afraid or really, really politically naive. Saying baseless platitudes does nothing for the left. We need celebrities like him to be unabashed leftists instead of this milquetoast nonsense.

There is someone on my cheerleading team who was not a part of it for a very long time but he was our designated driver for most of our parties and he consistently slept with women who were hammered and drunk when he was stone cold sober. This was something that got brought up amongst our social circle but we were never able to get anywhere with it. This individual, was one of the most generous people I’ve ever met my entire life, but he consistently took advantage of women who were drunk and not in the position to truly give consent. This has bothered me for close to 15 years now and every woman I have spoke to you about this issueHas had their own experience with being either right or sexually assaulted while under the influence. These are all middle-class women and this is something that affects every single family but it’s not talked about.

    I think the issue is just how hard it is to gather evidence on this issue. I think early on newspapers did well by looking for a preponderance of evidence, basically allowing some clarity of the picture to emerge through many sources. The Kavanough case didn't have that, but his behavior during the investigation (which should have been looked into) was deserving of condemnation.

  • @NicoleReign

    @NicoleReign

    5 жыл бұрын

    Tyler Reed I don't agree with that argument at all. Being upset during a trial does not make you guilty of a crime, especially if he was wrongfully accused. By the way, I have no idea what happened. There is not enough evidence to say either side is right or wrong, no matter what people believe. You can never condemn someone based on no evidence. Condemn him for lying under oath? Absolutely. Not because you felt he was angry. I wasn't even talking just this case though but, yeah, that's an example.

  • @StoneSoupDigitalMove

    @StoneSoupDigitalMove

    @@NicoleReign Since the Summer of 2016, my life has changed in two significant ways. For my mental and spiritual well-being my consumption of social media (Facebook, Blogs, etc.), as well as broadcast news, has greatly declined. I've lost friends (Military and locally) and far too much time dialoguing with individuals who simply refuse to deal in the reality of the state of affairs in this country. I had an Army buddy, from Texas, who told me that the prior administration was the most divisive in American history. I suppose politics and religion (spiritual beliefs, customs, differing methods of worshipping, or the lack thereof) are very much subjective. I can understand that and further understand the advice to never talk politics or "religion." I find it refreshing, Ms. N'Cole, that you mentioned the very thing that was only superficially mentioned, that Kavanah LIED UNDER OATH. Unless I'm badly mistaken, perjury in these committees is a felony. I find it frustrating that this slid to the back burner. I find it insulting that elected officials, regardless of party, did not make this an issue. This man was SUPPOSED to have been examined and compared to the strict standards of one who WAS BEYOND REPROACH. This man was an SC Justice from the moment he was nominated because that's what the ruling party wanted. It doesn't require a giant intellect to understand that limited investigation conducted by the FBI, for another week, was just a bone tossed, a redirection of the real issue. With the time between this alleged assault and the actual reporting of the complaint, there was no real way to produce any evidence of substance. As far as him being angry or indignant because of these women's accusations, I get that. As far as the hearing about what Dr. Ford said he did, his actions did not to me, and most other objective people, inspire any confidence in his, Kavanaugh's, ability to be worthy of being confirmed to the highest Court in America and arguably in the world. In closing, I'd like to apologize for the length of this reply. As I mentioned initially I don't do this often and I suppose this is the reason why. The things that he lied about, he was young and made some bad decisions. That's all he had to say, and this whole dog and pony show would have been a non-event. The rant about the Clintons and whatever else he said were unnecessary and not at all Supreme Court like. There is scripture that says something about a man remaining silent and be thought a fool than to open his mouth and remove all doubt. This might apply to this whole situation. Peace & Love

    @@NicoleReign I think you have misinterpreted what I said. I said that Kavanough should have faced condemnation for his behavior during the hearings, by which I mean his deliberate partisan outbursts and disrespect toward senators asking relatively straight foward questions, was totally disqualifying of being a supreme court justice. So he should have been denied the seat, and should have faced social opprobrium. That is not me saying he should have been facing some sort of conviction.

    Politics affect comedians too, as they are citizens like everybody else. Comedians are not meteorologists, but they opine on the weather because when it rains they get wet. Comedians are not doctors, but they opine on the healthcare system because they get sick. Comedians are not criminologists, but they opine on policing because they have to interact with the police. Comedians are professionals of finding the humor in horror, the comedy in calamity. Comedians provide the spoonful of sugar when the medicine is otherwise unpalatable. It’s a refreshing public service and especially necessary in our present moment. It just so happens that comedians, like everyone else on the ship, have a personal stake in the political tides.
