for any Christians out there who say feet washing is weird - remember this ; in Jewish culture roads were dusty and sandy and people wore sandals. no one wanted that in their house so in most well to do houses the lest powerful position man/woman/servant would wash the guests and homeowners feet with a pitcher and bowl as to not track in dirt on rugs etc as many people sat on the floor. For Jesus to wash his disciples' feet was a showing of humility and how a leader should serve his followers .

Though the Jewish faith might be the reason for tradition but more so in context and intent biblically...The washing of the feet was more about the understanding that Jesus would be betrayed and those denying His doing so would remain unclean and not with Him...even though he carried out this act He is the only one who could purify them

Keep in mind some cities were paved in marble and boots and socks items were worn on feet.. depends what trade was crafting... sandals just a garment as like boots... since Rome was north and southern climates their attire is a variety of things... but Mormons kind of go hand in hand with America jn the sense of killing crowns of people printing money... kind of don't like aggressive people... it's like a wicked energy spirit exists in a system that is off base... but unaccountable crimes are a thing... seems pretty far from the logic of say Louis 14 made more logical sense... no secrets... but then you have other leaders... but the world is strange more money commands and owns more people... lol.. but all children jnheeits whatever is around them... today a girl with her smarts xalled the whole thing a cult and called out the ritual and cult systems and spearte of virtue out.. but j a way that was clever... only a few people could understand. Sadly cults provide power and shelter from life in another sense so your jn bandage to whatever madness rules... during a lesson.. it was good, but they should pull the plank out of their own eye... ie the one up man's hip of the catholic nonsense for money, so far away from truth... or making fences around the law.... so good questions. Is does God come first before the concept of Mormons? Another good example is Sunday is a roman God... so.. if I fly in a concord and experience two Sundays is that double holy or good or sabbath.. sk it reveals the error sand lack of reason and rational.. instead of being open to truth the close it off... only virtues and law... but they make fences like every kther cult.. obscuring truth... you can day you don't know.. sknxe well your not God... like evolution becomes a fight, sk the sheel leading the sheep or lambs leading lambs are well becoming wrechid or damaged because their is lack of communication of truth.. as all the churches and families die. These people have slain kings and queens and stolen their data.. they still get laid by a state by their assets give them like any cult an jnrequited access to it.. where socialism puts all humans on the same fitting... but cults and nk tax and whatever and a few wars.. anything you discover invent or love never committed a crime is then taken or devoured by another group that acts cruel... but not all humans are like that jn all cults but collectively there js a wicked streak j Mormons.. economically sigh.

The entire point of the second anointing is that the ones that receive this already have their "calling and election made sure", meaning that they have already punched their ticket to heaven. Which means they don't have to account for any sins from that point on. If you believe "this is a misrepresentation", you are clearly ignorant regarding the second anointing.

Well that’s one way to put it. I wouldn’t say a free pass. Clearly people still sin. But it’s like when the scriptures say don’t ask for things you know you shouldn’t. If someone gets the second announting you probably have shown you wont go out and commit a serious sin like rape or murder. Makes me think of wiki on war crimes. France committed as many rapes as the Russians did during ww2. It does seem odd it seems like it’s a free pass, but the few that get it probably have become such a person that they’d behave better.

Only the holiest of holy get to go to the Celestial Kingdom where they sit at the feet of God Himself, The Terrestrial is for the rest of the Mormons ( Only Mormons) and the Telestial is for those "who received not the gospel of Christ, nor the testimony of Jesus." It will also include "liars, and sorcerers, and adulterers, and whoremongers, and whosoever loves and makes a lie", as well as "murderers, and idolaters". Apparently having a 3 foot solid Golden Angel on top of a pure while marble Temple that only elders and the most righteous are allowed to enter is not Idolatry. The curtain ripped when Jesus said "it is done" , but the Mormons sewed it back together. That is the Church I sadly grew up in and thankfully left.

I want to reiterate that I'm glad that you identify and love your religion, I think it's important to have morals and beliefs that are close to your heart, but make sure to extend grace to those who have been wronged at the hand of bad actors and hurtful docterine including trans people, people of color, people with disabilities, and women. So the wife symbolically was included as one of Jesus’s disciples by getting to wash the felt of her husband! There’s nothing demeaning in that whatsoever. I know of an amazing couple that had their “calling and election made sure” in the temple! 😊 Such a sacred and true ordinance that can only be performed under proper authority in the temple. It would be interesting to hear what her father actually said about “any” sin being covered after the ordinance. We believe in keeping our covenants but we still sin even if we’re doing that. He probably didn’t mean that they can go out and commit adultery or get drunk. I’m so grateful to know that the church is true. I hope I get the honor of washing my husband’s feet in the temple one day because of that ordinance. It has everything to do with honoring women disciples of Jesus Christ, not demeaning them.

Years ago a military sgt invited a group of us young guys on post to his house for big spaghetti supper with all the trimmings. We went, ate up, enjoyed, even offered to help clean up. Were told all was good & to relax in living room. A few minutes later two "missionaries" came to door, came in, gave spiel about "one true church". This reminded me of Am..y or timeshare sales hook. Most of us were either protestant, a few Catholic. We avoided this sgt as much as possible, it was never brought up again. We did not like trickery of a cult.

Yes we believe that all mankind may be save(but) by obedience to the laws and ordinaces of the gospel..
