I'm actually dating a blind woman right now. And so far, it's been pretty normal. Other than the obvious that she cant see, cant drive anywhere. She's pretty awesome and amazing. I've begun looking at things so much differently since I've been with her.

I want to get into dating. I'm 22, and have never been in a relationship, but it never bothered me before. I had/have my battles with depression and anxiety, but I'm trying to turn my life around. I want somebody that truly understands. I require a attendant for some things; mostly mobilization in my manual chair. While there are many things I can do with assistance, there are also a lot of things I can't do (dating wise) without that awkward third wheel. For example; I can't go for a walk (roll?) with someone unless I bring that third wheel or have my date push me...

***** I think in a situation like that I would be very open and honest with whom ever you're dating or thinking of dating. Let them get to know you first and then introduce them to your attendants. If the person for you he will understand. Just make sure both you and your partner know that your relationship with your attendant is separate from your relationship with them and vice versa. I hope that helps!

Hi! I have shared similar experiences and enjoyed your video. I also have a channel I just started with discussion topics on CP. Keep up the good work!

This video really speaks to me. I have CP, 33, use a power wheelchair and never dated. I recently asked a very close friend of mine to go out on a date for an event I attended, and we've been friends for many years. We discussed possibilities of dating an intimacy, but she doesn't really want to do so. Any girl I have liked ever in my life has said no, and I have a sparkling personality despite dealing with very serious depression. It must be me, but also no one ever wants to say the wheelchair freaks them out. My Life with CP, your video here has inspired to do my own in just a few moments, and I have often resisted having friends with physical disabilities who share the experience. I have only one, a friend with muscular dystrophy and she is a warrior an incredible person. Thank you for this video!

I really wish you hadn't tried recording outdoors, on a windy day. With my own disabilities, I struggled and too often failed to understand you. I've been asking a couple of dating podcasts to cover dating with disabilities, including disabilities that don't readily show. I'm still waiting, after a couple years. I see you returned to the subject, so I will see if that video is one I can understand.

This guy has got to be blind. Because if he saw how fine that woman is he would be all over her. I have no disabilities but if I was a young man I would be on this woman she is fine as hell.
