Dating as an Immigrant: Love Marriages, Green Card Weddings and Romantic Scammers

Welcome to the Month of Love!
Today's video touches on dating as an immigrant! I have been an immigrant my whole life and a hopeless romantic, however I have never really experienced being in a successful romantic relationship.
One factor that played a major role for me was my geographical instability. I explain how my mindset towards dating has been heavily influenced by this. I talk about the varying kind of relationships migrants get into and I ask you, my audience, to tell me about your immigrant dating experiences in the comments below.
Thank you for watching and see you in the next video.

Thanks for watching and your support! I've actually been meaning to look into the psychology of it all but I'm still trying to find resources. I think it's something that is prevalent in our present society with how migration is very normal in this day and age.

The inner insecurity you feel when dating on a study visa 😭 It’s too real. I’m not that risk averse, at the end of the day you need to risk your heart for a chance of love. But yeah, doing that in a country without unfriendly immigration laws is extra scary. Feels like you’re putting your heart at extra risks.

The government indirectly dictating your dating life, involved in your relationships before you even say "I do", but indeed, love is a risk and sometimes it works out, beyond borders and immigration.

Hey mama…if you were to marry for citizenship, based on your experience with countries, which country would it be?

🤣🤣 great question. I think an EU or American passport are great in terms of flexibility getting around the world. It's more the ease of travel that is appealing and the access to first world country amenities. But either way, you can still get it yourself if you really want it. Alot of these countries are making it harder for spouses to get citizenship on the basis of marriage.
