How does double power sources with monitoring improve efficiency? isn't double power resulting in increased cost? I understand monitoring helps identify failures early, but how is that improving "efficiency"?

Base of this video is the redundant and main are sharing the load? But when in comes the one of supply failed one will take over?

Yes, In modern Data center servers case, both A & B power Paths sharing the same amount of load. In case of failure of one Power supply unit complete load will be shifted to other Power supply unit. But a few years back there were some IT systems/Servers where a single power path bare the complete server load and other power path is available in standby position. But this Power configuration is very rare now.

I'm late and only have half the answer, but an ATS is an "Automatic Transfer Switch."

Where I work, the PDU feeds the RPP, which is essentially a panel that gives 208v power to server racks. ePDU is probably the same thing, just power to the racks most likely with a breaker separating them. Also, a battery backup is frequently part of this.

EPDU is a more advanced version from the usual Rack PDU, most commonly that EPDU having module with SNMP Card or Network Card to Communicate for All Power Consumption usage from all the equipment inside rack then delivered to the Monitoring software / Applications.

ATS = Automatic Transfer Switch is an equipment with function auto sensing for Normal AC / Power Source Availibillity or Not, if Normal Source electric source is available then ATS switch is connected to Utility Distribution Source if Normal Source Power is missing/Blackout then ATS Switch automatically switch to Emergency Source such Generator Set or others means of Power Source.
