Well, actually I didn't apply yet the film on the screen because for my personal use is not necessary. I'm working since few weeks on my Paperlike Pro, a lot of hours everyday, safely without any problem. The film it's still closed inside the box :-)

Do you know when can we expect the second part?

I saw the review you are talking about. I was also worried before buying the Dasung. I can confirm you that my device is working perfectly without any freeze or problem. That message was probably because they didn't install the drivers. I always used my device with the drivers installed and I never faced that problem.

I counted the frame rate with a millisecond timer in another demonstrations from KZread. The refresh rate of the fastest A2 and Floyd mode is 6 frames per second. E-book Nook Simple Touch shows 8 frames per second. I'm a little disappointed, because I expected on maximum performance of the Dasung Pro. I found that the Carta displays are capable of producing 8 fps, so it is written in the specifications: Image Update Time: 120 msec (1-Bit) www2.eink.com/sell_sheets/carta_spec_sheet.pdf I look forward to video reviews on the Carta version with the hope that there will be 8 frames per second. Can you tell what frame rate is in your model?

Hi Lesnik837! Actually I didn't count the exact frame rate update. Basically I can tell you that personaly I use the Paperlike Pro for web browsing, word processing and reading articles. My eyes are very sensitive to the backlight of any screen and this device fits all my needs and solved me a lot of problems. I can confirm you that the actual frame rate doesn't create me any problem for my daily usage. I update here my answer to your question: My model is Carta! **errata corrige** :-)

Thanks for the answer. My eyes also hurt from the LCD monitor, so I plan to completely replace the LCD monitor by Dasung, including video viewing and 3D games. 8 frames per second look good, that would be enough. I use the Nook Simple Touch for games and videos for eighteen months and is very pleased. Nook Simple Touch with the "fast refresh mode" patch stably displays 8 frames per second- kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5qWppluY9urXbg.html. This is enough for comfortable viewing of videos and games. 6 frames per second look much less comfortable. I will wait for reviews on the Carta version.

I remember I already saw your video on an another forum before buying the Dasung! Ahah :-) Interesting demo! I perfectly understand your needs... I'm an addicted to e-ink too! :-) For my personal experience the Paperlike Pro is really comfortable because is 13,3", the biggest e-ink. I'm curious about Carta version... let's hope will be even better! :-)

Do you need to install the drivers? Or does it just work when I connect?

Ciao And rea! Per usarlo con Word è il dispositivo perfetto, sopratutto se devi stare molte ore al computer e non avrai alcun ritardo di input. E' un schermo veramente ottimo! Per la dogana ho pagato 240 € ma la Dasung fa sempre il possibile per evitarla, ma non dipende da lei. Cmq con la mia esperienza rispenderei tutti i soldi dal primo all'ultimo centesimo! Se ti interessa sto montando la mia nuova videorecensione completa e sarà pubblicata a brevissimo! :-)
