You can go to playback mode and see video files in 8 folders. Press OK button to enter the folder and select the file. Long press MODE button to exit the current folder. Or you can always remove the memory card and transfer it to your PC for viewing later.

The Chimera screen turns off after a minute. How do I make the screen work continuously while driving the car?

It sounds like it is the screen saver mode kicking in. You can go into the settings and change the screen saver mode to the maximum option possible but I believe the max time is 3 min or 5. After that it will go into screen saver mode (black). You can always activate the screen again by pushing any button on the unit.

Hi Stacy. If you look underneath you'll see a tiny slot. Inside the slot is the memory card. You need to push down on it so that it will spring up. Then you can take it out.

The camera only runs on the car battery when you plug it in the 12V socket. When the car is on, the camera will be powered up. When the car shuts off, the camera will be powered off. There is no battery in the camera to run without the car being on (except for G-sensor when collision detected). If you want to have continuous power, you have to hot wire it to your actual car battery.

I just bought this camera, and I'm having troubles with the camera not saving the correct date and time ☹

Hello, sorry to hear that. First I would recommend trying a few things: 1) try different memory cards, 2) there is reset button (left side) please proceed with caution as you need to use a needle or something very thin to access it. 3) try going into settings and adjusting different time / date formats 12H or 24H mode and see if that helps. @@breakaway2x also, "proceed with caution" is a phrase that my son used to say all the time when he was 1-3 years old and I was driving him~ he would say it every time he saw an amber light 🤣

@@Shordanna I hope it works! Sometimes I found that memory cards were the culprit and not the camera itself. It's also good to format the card in the dashcam so that it can save the software files and settings in the card.

There is a button "M" which should get you into playback mode. There will be a lot of folders depending on which camera videos you want to watch. Try holding the M button down to switch modes if just pressing M doesn't take you there.

Oh yeah the dashcam is fu.. in good for my Car and rec for Michael 😈.

I just got this camera. I’ve ordered a SD card but I’m having trouble detaching the camera from the mount. I’m afraid I’m going to break it lol please help

There is a release button on the top. You need to push it down and then slide the camera off. Give it a nice wiggle.

Make sure it is plugged into a power source. The dash cam itself doesn't have any power to turn itself on. It has to be plugged into the 12V port in your car and then your car has to be turned on for the dash cam to power up. If it's not powering up even after doing all that, then contact customer service in your user manual and you should be able to get a replacement or refund.
