They got away from their owners by accident on a busy highway. They belong to someone.

AZ DPS was once in a vehicle pursuit on I-10 East near Casa Grande, AZ. The pursuit ended when the driver crashed through the fence of an ostrich farm. For a few days after, emergency operators would get calls from motorists reporting ostriches running on the highway.

I appreciate that they closed the freeway and were so patient with them. I have huskies that like to run. My greatest fear is this exact scenario.

I’m SO confused! Those look exactly like my dogs! They also ACT exactly like my dogs! I gave them to a good family last April but they escaped in August 2023 and were lost! They could have easily run up the freeway from Provo Center street to Pleasant Grove. Look how sweaty they are in this video! Confused, afraid to bark, very docile. That’s how my girls are. They finally ended up at the Utah county shelter and I cried and wanted them back. My living situation had improved, and the family relinquished all rights to the adoption and gave the girls back to me. Very sweet family! It was a beautiful reunion and my Alaskan Malamutes are still safely in my possession!! Is there any way that this story is old news from last August? I’m horrified!!!!

What is their outcome? Did they escape from their home? Are they okay? Obviously the white one was the leader. I hope someone didn’t dump them on the road; if so, hope they were adopted to a good home, together!
