This is the absolute BEST rice cooker I’ve ever used. I am 100% impressed with this product.
I've been cookking the little cup full or less (for one person) of Uncle Ben's original converted rice and it does not boil over and takes up little counter space and is lightweight and can be easily moved to a shelf when not in use. One can almost eat out of the small shallow bowl.

This is amazing. I put and forget it. Wonderful and the food smells the whole kitchen. I love it!!!
I made beans with potatoes and it was good also white rice too

What about the seasoning packet from Spanish rice @diana Pardo, that comes in the box , do I put the seasoning in with it and let it cook? Or do add it afterwards the rice done ?

I add my seasonings with the rice. If I add cilantro, I add it when it’s gone to Warm and let it sit covered for a minute or two to soften a bit but still remain bright green while perfuming the rice.
I wonder if this would work for someone like me who can't see. I'd looooooooooooooooooooooooooove to try it out one day! I cook Malt-o-Meal in the microwave, and unfortunately, it creates a lot of steam in the microwave's interior! That's dangerous if it becomes water! I've always been told that electricity and water don't combine! I wonder if this machine can cook Malt-o-Meal without sticking or lumps. If so, I'd looooooooooooooooooooooooooove to buy one of these guys!

the dash rice cooker will warm your food but at 179 degrees only will NOT BOIL WATER

It does boil water, just takes awhile (10 min or so)
No way is rice the #1 side dish!

Why not. If you are in US maybe not. But in this big wonderful world it is rice. And ketchup is not the mist used condiment. It’s Salsa..odd but true
