I would like to see a rereleased version of the Return of the Jedi Vader where you can unmask, except with a face mold that looks like Hayden aged.

I would also like to see a release of the Revenge of the Sith Vader, with removable helmet. IMO that was my favorite design, with a very close A New Hope second.

Definitely a sick design. That is actually a version of Vader I do not have. But as soon as I get my hands on it. It will definitely be on my review list. I do have the TVC version. It is pretty incredible the amount of detail they can put into these figures. Especially the 3-3/4in.

@@TheStonedMandalorian Yes, indeed! I’m sure to the casual Star Wars fan, they could not tell any differences whatsoever between the Vaders. Only we who collect the figures as adults notice lol 😂.

I have this same exact Star Wars : A New Hope Darth Vader figure bought at Wal-Mart and on mine his head can look up slightly but not too much but he has very little left to right side head turning movement. When you did this review you turned your same figures head a little to the left and right side but I did not see you try to move his head in the looking slightly upward position. I just wanted to let you know that he does have the ability to look upward slightly so you can try that head movement on yours since I'm pretty sure that your figure can do that also if mine can. Great review of this highly detailed figure.👍🌝

Yea the mask does make it a bit tight to turn his head. And no I did not try any up or down motion because I just assumed it wouldn’t lol. But thanks for letting me know. I should t have skipped over it and just spoke on it anyway. But instead I glanced over that part of the articulation cuz I just didn’t think he had any. But thank you for sharing! Now I know! I had to go down into my collection room today and I lined up all of my Darth Vader figures which I keep in their boxes. I love them all dearly, I can’t really decide which one is the best but right now I’m leaning towards the emperors wrath Darth Vader with the translucent head. I know that it’s not very popular and it’s sat on Walgreens shelves for years, but it’s pretty damn awesome ask me and I’ll tell you another one is better.

Is the archive Vader the same as the regular AnH version? Or did they improve it with butterfly joints Would be awesome to know because I hate the archive package

Good question. It is the same exact figure as the ANH version. So no butterfly joints unfortunately. The articulation is a bit more “dated” than the ESB, ROTJ, or Kenobi versions. But it’s still an awesome and worthy figure to have on your shelf. I understand you not liking the archive packaging as much as the mural (galaxy) packaging though.

As a diehard Vader fan, I can hardly wait to find this. I’ve got all the invaders in the black series, both boxed and loose in this one She remain in its box but if I can score a 2nd it’ll go on my loose Vader shelf along with the others. Great stuff is always on the channel Mann, excellent review. By the way, I really love the very simple light gray background in this box, I think it just looks freaking awesome.

Hell yea Hyper! You can never have too many Vaders lol. And thanks man! I appreciate the kind words!! I also like the light grey on the inside of the box. Allows the figure to contrast well in-box. One of my favorite figures (count dooku) has the red background from the old red&black box days, and you can’t really see his lightsaber in box. Just me nitpicking obviously but I just like contrast. Makes the focus of what your supposed to be looking at “pop” more. Thanks for watching Hyper!!

Is Vaders’ neck supposed to be black or silver?

The OT has silver on it. Down around the neck at the bottom of his helmet and some on his left cheek as well. The eyes/lenses on the OT are also a bit more “bubbly” looking, and not as flat looking as say for example the more ROTS /modern styled helmet.

@@nathanieladams7624 I 100% agree Nathan. That’s one of the best things about it. It’s great escapism and it’s just awesome to have something like this to be passionate about. And being able to share opinions, random facts, thoughts, and theory’s with other passionate fans is enjoyable camaraderie as well.

Very informative review. Both Vaders are great, both the A New Hope Vader (which I unfortunately don't own) and the Kenobi Vader (which I have a few times). The Empire Vader may have butterfly joints, but something bothers me about his helmet or rather his face mask... a little too much like a caricature for me... do you agree with me, or am I too critical and have a kink in the optics...? 🤔 🤓

Thank you. Both of them are great! I do favor the ANH helmet a lot but the kenobi and ESB versions are good as well. I kinda feel ya on the ESB mask. I think the ESB version gets extra love because of the articulation (butterfly’s like you said) and ALOT of people say ESB is the best Star Wars movie of all time. So I feel like that makes it more favorable too lol. That’s honestly why I love it so much.

@@TheStonedMandalorian I have to say, you were absolutely right. Because of your video I bought ANH-Vader on Amazon (archive version) and it is wonderful! Actually the ultimate Black Series Vader - although the difference to the Kenobi Vader can only be seen with a magnifying glass (still worth recognizing that Hasbro is making a small difference here).
