You can tell that Leon Edwards recently winning the belt was a major source of inspiration for Darren, especially with Leon's unintentional inactivity and being from the UK.

Darren till such a stand up guy - he would utterly destroy all these influencers and youtubers him and perry would be a great fight.

Till was one of my favorite guys on the UFC roster. Still can't believe how far he's fallen. I hope one day I'll see him back in the octagon but won't hold my breath.

I think he hasn’t admitted it to himself yet but he will never be back. - I payed attention when he said so I’m gonna do this for the next 2-3 years. I’ve never heard anyone have almost 4 years out then come back late 33 & do something in the UFC. - I wish him well but it’s a wrap I feel.

The real turning point was his move to middleweight. Till was the force at 170 but the middleweight division is a different beast. Whittaker, Brunson, and Dricus were tough match ups.

@@Ajox191 Also injuries. He had a 48-47 loss to Whittaker in a fight where his knee was blown out early. However I'm not sure about a force at 170 where he was a weight bully. Wonderman got robbed. Jorge Masvidal nearly ended his life and he didn't land one strike against Tyron Woodley. First and only time in UFC title fight history where a man did not land a single strike. That Woodley was already old. He was getting shopworn. He had a wife and a girlfriend. A shitload of kids. What better time to beat Woodley than when Darren got his shot?

@josephdover198 I think if Till got matched up with Leon Edward's for the belt, Leon would get flatlined. The Masvidal and Wonderboy match ups were tough. The Wonderboy fight was close. Masvidal was getting lit up before he KO'D Till. No shame in that, Masvidal is a great striker. I think Till could still hang with the some welterweights that are in the top 10 now.

Just to offer some perspective.....Ive been watching mma for almost 10 years, always have always will. I watch every single ufc fight including TUF, contender series and saturday night fights ppv or not. I also watch other promotions like one and bellator as well as a bit of bjj on flograppling, not like i do with the ufc though. I watch zero boxing besides the occasional big names like tank vs garcia or wilder vs fury, pretty pumped for tyson and francis too. All that being said, I watch all these goofy ass fights with the youtubers. At the end of the day i just like combat and i got caught up in it before i even knew who these people were, just heard 2 internet dorks were going to throw down and i figured it would be interesting. Watched a few UFC legends get a monster payday that they all deserve, i aint mad at that.

Till should absolutely take an offer from someone like the pfl if they have a tournament at his weight class. Nothing the Ufc would love more is a guy losing 2 fights in their org, winning the pfl tournament and coming back champ after a bunch of free press

Perry vs. Till in Misfits currently makes all the sense in the world. That would be a big deal for Misfits and the crossover space. Not gonna lie, I'd probably enjoy the spectacle more of a BKB match. Understand why Till doesn't want that particular type of smoke though. 😅 And Misfits can produce a better mainstream event in my opinion. Perry and Till don't need to go bare knuckle type to sell this fight though. A boxing match between the two would do numbers.

Many people have no clue who he is, if he doesn't get beat up by masvidal I have no clue who he is , cause of Jake n Woodley fight I saw I'm backstage for 2 seconds n I thought that's the donut masvidal beat up. So this was my 2nd time seeing the him my first seeing him where he's not crying. Do u think many people know who paddy pemblat is? 10% of America maybe n that only cause barstool sports. Till is on another level compared to paddy he may not have won a title yet but what he did achieve in the UFC is a huge achievement in itself he would walk through any of the misfits fighters no contest

Darren Till is still one of the best. The middle weight division is stacked and Till took nothing but tough fights. Whittaker, Masvidal, Dricus, and Brunson were all animals. I hope to see Till back in the UFC or PFL soon.
