If McGregor had this humility and would've left his camp to train with real grapplers he'd probably still be the top dog. MMA will always be a grappling dominant sport. If it a striker and have the ability to change levels and defend the takedown u become a real fighting machine.

Darren till has no ego and is probably one of the most honest fighters in MMA. He could have said so many things about his last two losses like his injuries before the Brunson fight he didn’t even describe them or use them as any excuse even though regular MMA watchers knew that he was not himself instead he went to great lengths to give Brunson props which is refreshing. I have so much respect for till for taking control of his ego and going back to basics with khamzat it takes more courage to do that imo than anything else in MMA because you see so many guys in MMA whose egos get them into a lot of trouble, till has taken control of that side of him to become better & evolve as a fighter. I have to say I expect nothing less from a fellow red;-)Khamzat also deserves great respect it just shows what kind of man he is to open his doors to a fellow fighter and help him get better! Can’t wait for till to show us all Till 2.0!! YNWA DT;-)

You can’t do what he’s doing and have an ego! People like Colby are the true egomaniacs in this sport. The guys been schooled twice yet his ego won’t allow him to accept he was beaten twice by a better fighter. I respect till for going out of his comfort zone. His weakness is clearly the grapling and wrestling side of his game and he knows this and is doing whatever he can to fill in the holes in his game Gotta respect a man who's doing whatever it takes. Wish him luck and cant wait to see him new and improve in his next fight. His striking skills are top notch and with improvements in take down defense and grapling he could be one of the best in the world. Whom better to work with than a hungry up and coming guy like khamzat that is still trying to make his mark. It will reenvigerate till and I respect his work ethic. Handle it and hopefully both of you guys exceed your goals. Both guys are inspirational

His first fight back was against Till and he definitely wasn't at his best. He was still getting his confidence back after the title loss, and still beat Till in a Unanimous Decision. It wasn't until after that fight that we saw the newest version of Whittaker when he fought Cannonier and then toyed with Gastelum.

  • @closinginonclosure

@@Barnzy213 Agreed. He hasn't beaten any truly elite guys at their best. His best wins are an old Wonderboy who's going through the motions, Gastelum off of a war with Adesanya, and Cowboy who loses more than he wins these days. And till has been finished in 3 of his last 4 losses. Tyron almost KO'D him and then choked him out. Like you said, fun character at times but I don't see him being champion either.
