Well yes but a little more updated. I personally really love happy hardcore from around 2007. Like for me 2007-2013 ish was prime for me. I also prefer UK hardcore. So idk if I could just get more of that live in my life I would freak out.

@@SkankHnt42 No no, I don’t take it that way at all dw! I love hearing about people’s experiences with the scene when it was at its peak. My mam used to go to New Monkey and Wigan Pier and I would often see clips of her on the DVDs they used to make at New Monkey when they had the camera going all through the venue throughout the whole night and it looked so good man, even if I wasn’t really /too/ big a fan of the MC and moreso just liked the backing tracks, I’d have still loved to experience it. I am so jealous! I’m 24 now so if only I’d been born even 10 years earlier. 🥲

I still get chills listening to this song. Timeless classic.

I played the track for the first time at HTID / AIR in Birmingham and truthfully the reaction took me by surprise, so i ended up leaving the track as it was. This song holds some of my favourite memories. Time flies :)" Edit: I'm not Darren Styles. I just copied/pasted what he said on his Twitter back in Sept. 2016. Even though this is an upbeat song, I cry when I see it. My dad passed when I was young child. I saw this music video on tv, I pictured in my head that Darren (the guy in the video) was my dad. Absolutely one of my favourite 07's songs even if it does remind me of my saddest memory

I listened to this everyday I could when in Afghanistan and Iraq. I'd always play this when leaving Base Camp not knowing if I'd make it back alive. Make it back to my 2 daughters. This song still gives me goosebumps and fills me with terror at the same time 😔

95+ those were the good old days for happy hardcore, after 00 most the gifted dj's left the scene as the music was turning a different direction unfortunately. Some of the new stuff is OK and great to listen too BTW

Yeah. Even though people like Darren Styles do still produce "UK Hardcore", it doesn't have the same sound. It ends up just sounding more like "stereotypical EDM but 160-180 bpm and with slightly bassier kicks" like this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/paaYmNSap7LSd9I.html But nothing close to the huge thumping pounding kicks. Even the synths of modern UK hardcore are pretty much what you'd probably hear in a big room house track.

John Style Think very hard about what Andy Smith actually meant. Obviously this song reminds him of his life when he was 16 and he misses those days. When people listen to the songs of their childhood they often feel nostalgia and miss the old days when life was easier and simpler.
