Like a lot of people, I had a huge crush on him back in the day, too. This is always my favourite choice of song for karaoke, only I have to sing the whole thing an octave lower as I have no way of reaching the phenomenal falsetto Darren possesses!

Agreed. Went to his concert with a small venue (in Sydney, perhaps lidcombe … I forgot the exact). 20 years passed and this was still one of the terrific concerts and performance I have ever experienced. And I am now living in HK. Holy … miss ya Sydney

Darren Hayes is one of those singers who sing in two different voices. Low-pitch breathy voice and high-pitched shrill. In 80s, Michael Jackson and Prince used to sing this way and in 90s and 2000s Justin Timberlake, Lee Ryan (from Blue boy band) sung this way. I don't consider it gay, it's just a different way of expressing your emotions.
