The problem with Arteta is that he doesn’t step away from the pitch when the play comes near him. He needs to step off the line when play gets within 3 yards of him.

I’ve never understood why managers are even on the touch line to begin with. Why not be higher up in the press box area so you can actually see the field and have a much better view of what’s unfolding on the field? Or, at the very least, have your assistants up high to relay information because they can actually see the play unfolding much better from up high. Because the reality is coaching on the sidelines makes it hard to see what is actually unfolding on the pitch because you don’t have the depth perspective that is very obvious from a higher viewing point.

Honestly I had the same thoughts but thought perhaps I've played too much football manager 😂

What I'd really like to see is Jurgen Klopp deliberately leave his technical area and step onto the pitch with a big smile, late in his last game. Imagine the ref quickly coming up to him, look like he's about to reach for a card, but instead, with a big smile of his own, extends his arm to offer a handshake to Jurgen.

Stop with pathetic rules that don’t mean nothing, why are they trying to rip passion and soul out of the game? Who cares where the manager is ffs, the PL has built its whole game on passion etc and they want rid of it.

Klopp doesn’t spend half as long out of his area as Arteta does. Arteta doesn’t even move out of the way when players come near him, which absolutely affects play.

It’s more that they’re almost on pitch and getting in way of players when leave technical area not that berating refs - I’m waiting for the day a player clatters into a manager who gets in the way and manager moans when it’ll be his own fault
