Darrell Brooks trial: 'Why do you have to roll your eyes at me,' Judge Jennifer Dorow asks
The 12th day of Darrell Brooks' trial started out with clashes between Brooks and Judge Jennifer Dorow, during which Brooks allegedly rolled his eyes. This prompted Judge Dorow to say, "Why do you have to roll your eyes at me. Let's start the morning off on a good note." Brooks continued to interrupt the judge, leading her to say, sternly, "Let me finish."

I figured out why he called the Spanish witness. It was just to delay the proceedings further by translating everything. The witness didn't help him.
Wow! This judge is amazing! She's kind and has the patience of Job!
We stand behind you judge!
What a shame that this person can waste the courts time & put the victims loved ones thru more stress and/or frustration.
He has no idea how a court of law works or the role of the judge. She should not have to babysit him. She's giving him so much leeway explaining what he should already know if he's going to represent himself. He understands nothing about how the law operates. He has no understanding of the etiquette of the court, the rule of law, the terminologies used, nothing. He acts like he's talking to someone at the DMV because he can't get his registration not to an elected judge. He's just digging himself deeper & deeper into life in prison & acting worse than a toddler in doing so

@@CrystalKat it's gamesmanship & stupidity rolled into one & he obviously hadn't a clue what he was getting into by firing his legal team no matter how many times he's been in court because of previous arrests. He can't fire his lawyers right before trial then claim he didn't have enough time to prepare. If he's going to represent himself then he needs to understand things are done a certain way & not the way he wants them to be done. He wants to have his hand held & be given special treatment because he's representing himself. He doesn't understand he's expected to know what to do & how to do it. Yet he's banking on the fact that his lack of knowledge will result in a mistrial or save him on appeal. All the crap he's spewing is so that he can say "see, I wasn't afforded this consideration, I wasn't allowed to do this, I didn't have time to prepare" when it's his own fault his case is going down the toilet

It is punishment for him, and protection for everyone else. Without the death penalty as an option, it is tge harshest punishment they can give him on this earth. God will see to the rest.
The Judge is going to need a vacation after dealing with this horrible man.

@@Azzlad Her job was to make sure the trial was legally conducted. She could have lost her temper and kicked him out more often, thereby denying Brooks his right to a fair trial, but she didn't. Weakness would be exactly the course you recommend. Brooks had a constitutional right to represent himself, and the judge had an obligation under state law to ensure he had as much access to the courtroom as possible. Her wisdom and her strength ensured Brooks trial was lawfully conducted despite his constant outbursts, and her wisdom and strength will ensure there is no basis at all for the case to be remanded for a new trial. Folks like you mistake bullying for strength, and folks like you don't understand the law, and don't understand our justice system, and you have no idea what obligations a judge has. She was every bit the professional. Brooks is in prison forever, in large part due to her skills as a judge.
The judge, the state attorneys, the bailiffs, jurors and witnesses are doing an amazing job by putting up with his crap.
I'd pay to see his face in person during his sentencing lol

You notice sometimes he is nice and sweet and switches to extreme anger. Narcissists love attention either good or bad. They are stuck emotionally at the age of trauma. So basically a 4 year old in an adult body. They lack accountability, responsibility. He knew he would be found guilty, so acting as his own attorney was not really detrimental. It was an opportunity for narcissistic supply. Read the DSM if you are interested in the features of such a creature.

For someone who has caused so much pain and heartache it's sickening that the bastard shows no remorse whatsoever.
if he can harass the judge into a losing her composure and making any error he will have a chance at a mistrial. if convicted he plans to appeal so he is getting desperate and turning it up. each time the jury comes in he plays victim. this is his only strategy bcuz he’s not getting better at being his own attorney in fact he’s proving himself not only guilty but with complete disregard for human life. he demands respect but gives none. he’s an incredible case.
