Darrell Brooks trial: 'Stop it, stop it!' Brooks rages at judge as interruptions continue

While questioning his ex-girlfriend, Darrell Brooks attempts to ask her questions about the child they have together, with the state arguing successfully it's not relevant. Brooks kept trying to ask questions related to the issue, which led to the jury being excused.
Brooks then got upset when the prosecution brought up his criminal history and his relationship with his children. Brooks again argued with the judge over her ruling and raged in the courtroom, leading Judge Jennifer Dorow to order Brooks to be removed from the courtroom but then she opted for an early lunch break. Brooks is representing himself at his criminal trial for allegedly killing six people at the Waukesha Christmas parade. He faces life in prison after authorities say he drove his car into the parade.

Everything about this man is grotesque. The way his hands move when he moves around his files and papers. The facial expressions he makes, the way is mouth moves, the way he holds his head up in the air when he thinks he’s so slick. How smug he is. The way he thinks he can argue with the judge like he’s arguing with his Mother, etc. He’s going to be so miserable in jail. It’s going to be great.

Relying on female hysteria and black motherhood stereotypes to defame his (abused) ex, swerving to target the dancing grannies, constantly belittling the female attorney and judge, questioning their intelligence despite their experience over him and constantly trying to speak over them, it's so obvious that he's a sexist that thinks he's above all women. So a woman condemning him to the fullest extent of the law is SO important. Even beyond this, take a look at something like sexual assault/rape cases. Male judges are more likely to give reduced sentences because they cannot relate to the fear of extreme possibility of violation themselves. Male judges are more likely to sympathze with fathers in divorce hearings and hear them out while most would assume he is the reason for the relationship faling apart. Gender ABSOLUTELY matters.

It’s the reason he didn’t want to tell the state when they asked yesterday, if she’d be called today, and it’s the reason he didn’t want to call her when she was the only witness in court and available. He’s trying to control her by showing her he can make her turn up at court and he will decide how long she waits/how many days she has to turn up. He’s doing the same here. Taking forever to ask questions, repeating questions, making her repeat answers etc etc etc. He’s trying to show her he can waste her time & he can drag this out so she has to take more time out of her life to appear back in court on Monday. He's trying to humiliate her by saying that she’s lying and acting all ‘powerful lawyer’ to try to intimidate her (which is laughable as in reality he just looks a complete tw@). The fact someone, especially a woman, is preventing him from exerting his control is what’s making him so mad.

I remember my daughter angrily shaking her head saying, " WE'RE ALL HERE CELEBRATING MY LIFE RIGHT NOW AS A PSYCHO IS TAKING THEIRS! I CAN'T! " We were all angry and upset at that moment. She didn't witness any of that. She could have lied about every single thing that transpired between them in the car, by the school, the day before and their entire relationship starting when she was 15. Not that she did of course but it wouldn't matter in the slightest to this case, excepting that he was charged with 1 count for assaulting her. The whole purpose of the pictures was to knock her off guard and try and knock her down. To make sure she knew that someone she trusted with those pictures had violated her trust. It was a cruel thing to do and he wanted way more than to get those pictures admitted into evidence. He probably cared the least about that aspect. He wanted to cause her pain, try and make it look like she was writing him letters in jail because he can't stand that not only has she rejected him, but that the world knows it so he had to try and convince the court that she hadn't rejected him. His little baby pride can't handle it.

@@kill_kali Mistrial must be declared before a jury renders its verdict, or before a judge renders a verdict in a case not being tried with a jury. A mistrial cannot be declared after a verdict is reached. To have a mistrial declared, an attorney for either side can file a motion with the court requesting it. The judge then denies or grants the request for a mistrial. If it’s denied, the trial continues. Most inmates file appeals. It has no bearing on the Judge keeping her courtroom running smoothly. He can't file a mistrial for the Judge demanding order.

And what I meant by when this is over, I meant the ridiculous performance he's putting on. it's common knowledge that pretty much everybody with any level of case files their appeals until they get a more desirable outcome or run out of appeals. he's very obviously the type of person to try to start a media shitstorm and he a very unreliable narrator of his story, which can have very real effects on the judge and the DA long after it's all said and done. so having a publicly available video record of all his bullshit is just that much better if nobody matches his attitude. They shouldn’t allow the abuser to question the victim. Many rape or abuse victims would never go to trial if they knew their abuser was the one questioning them, it allows them to be revictimized

I agree with you, but sadly these awful people have the right to represent themselves. Have a look here on youtube, The Ted Bundy Trial, he also represented his self, The difference between Ted and this Moron, is Ted actually studied law, but even so, he was allowed to question his victims. Have a wonderful day 😊 ☺

@@badazzbarbiePOV she didn’t contact him, the state dug into it and he has called her from prison over 70 times and she never answered. The court gave him multiple opportunities to go back to his cell to get the letter and he refused every time (because, again, those letters don’t exist). Brooks got those photos from his mom, which is confirmed from recorded phone calls. Erica sent them to a friend, that friend sent them to Brooks’ mom, and his mom sent them to him.

There would be no basis for mistrial or appeal based on ineffective council...she also has to walk on some eggshells as him being pro se he doesn't know criminal PROCEDURE and has to be given way more leeway then an attorney 🤷‍♂️ but when you represent yourself in a murder trial you have an idiot for a client

It's not that - it's to close any avenues he has for appeal. If they give him every benefit of the law that's favorable to him, when he gets convicted - and he will - the court of appeals will toss out his appeal as baseless. The judge is doing an awesome job of giving him every opportunity for a solid defense, while closing off any avenues for delay. He's going down and he'll have absolutely nothing to appeal on.
