Adam Darr was a German classical guitarist born in 1811 in Schweinfurt. He started playing guitar in his youth and composed many solo and duo pieces for guitar, as well as numerous pieces for the zither. Much of his music was not published during his lifetime, as he simply went around Europe performing his pieces. Today, most of the manuscripts and printed copies are preserved at the Bavarian State Library.
