Oh no, now I want them to add leagues of Votann dudes as a new class. Like, in terms of narrative, you can easily squeeze them in as a mercenary group, imperium hires them quite often when situation is dire and their resources are limited (exactly what we have on Atome prime)

@@01eksii balancing might be a bit wierd, though. The Votann are super advanced compared to the Imperium.

@@Crayssius I mean, the showcased yeagirs from their common equipment have bolt shotguns, bolt revolvers and plasma knives, I think that still coul be fit in as a set of class exclusive weapons, and then you just give them a limited selection of weaponry from other classes. In terms of nades you can give them just a grav concussion (decent damage all-rounder), mine (area denial), and maybe a throwing plasma knife for solo damage. As a counterbalance factor, you could just make this guy noticeably slower.

@@01eksii Keeping on the balance thing, they'd also be shorter, like Bardin in Vermintide, which makes shooting a little harder.

SSG in Darktide looks like distilled essence of the Revolver: even less ammo, even more power.

it actually has a surprising amount of range on the single shot mode, like obviously it doesnt stack up to the revolver in that regard but you can easily get a sniper at mid-range. i just like shooting both barrels because it makes me reload so fast the animation gets messed up. i think all told i reload like, 85% faster when i do.

very cool, barely 3 days ago I extracted the sounds from Darktide to put them on the Doom 2 SSG with a patch. It seems I am not the only one to find this SSG very doomy

I am SO glad someone else saw this shotgun and immediately went "DOOM SUPERSHOTGUN REAL????" The doom sound effects give me a certain joy. On a partially related note, "Both barrels for you, bastards!" - some british dude idk

When i heard a double barrel was getting added i immedialy made a veteran and power leveled them as fast as i could so i could indulge my inner Doom Slayer
