Are yall still playing Vermintide or thinking about trying Darktide again? I think VT2 is still better than Darktide at the moment for many reasons but am definitely having a blast playing Darktide :D

i bought the game almost a month ago and I still haven't been able to play it. I tried 20 fixes and none worked. As of this reply to your comment, FS released a new hotfix which once again failed to address the performance issues

@@457R34 The gameplay is extremely fun, especially on auric maelstrom, it's mostly the performance issues that hold the game back at the moment. The game runs fine most of the time, but in certain areas of certain maps the framerate slows to a crawl.

- Performance seems much more stable. - My 3080 runs the game between 40 and 60 fps. Something doesn't seem right here.

Dunno how you have your settings set up, I've got a 3070 and it runs just fine, only dips in the most hectic, explosion-filled moments.

Theres a mod on the mod discord that lets you customize your weapons. Yes this includes sights. Honestly, a must have imo.

The biggest thing that I miss that was in vermintide 2, was the characters, i.e. Bardin, Kerillian, Kruber, Sienna and Saltzypyre, they kinda went away from the left 4 dead formula with a cast. :(

Game is fine.. though i agree the crafting system could do with a little less RNG.

Not being able to choose the map and difficulty at will is annoying. And the crafting system is a pain in the ass. I'm going to continue playing Vermintinde 2 and other coops for now, in the hope that the devs will overhal these systems that waste players' time

I had a bad experience with beta test. That why im still playing Vermintide 2.

You can change any two things perks or blessings on your weapon as many times as you want. any perk at any time and blessings can be anythign that you've "unlocked". Earned blessings are shared across all characters too. you dont have to get a new weapon, just change it again if you dont like it.

While what you said is true it doesn't quite tell the full picture. You can change up to 2 of the 4 attributes a fully upgraded weapon comes with. After changing 2 things, the other 2 are locked in forever and cannot be changed at all. Meaning if your build wants 3 changes, you will need a new weapon. When crafting a new weapon, if it rolls 3 undesirable attributes, it's forced to keep 1 because only 2 can be changed. Meaning another new weapon is to be obtained.

One issue that prevents a solo mode from being viable is that the bots still fight as if they were playing Vermintide, they don't know how to fight the numerous gunners nor the unblockable overhead attacks of the Maulers and Crushers. I've watched 3 bots lose to a single Crusher right at the beginning of a match.

TLDR, you should absolutely come back. the game rocks now. they just dropped the first raid boss style mission and its amazing.

I get 80-90 fps on a 2080ti & 9900k at 1440p all high settings with dlss on performance mode

I got into Darktide after the big talent overhaul update. Enjoyed the game a lot at first, but there are SO many things about the game that I find inferior to Vermintide that it actually made me go back to Vermintide and leave Darktide altogether.

The crafting is still such a huge problem, it’s the last thing keeping me from trying to pull my friends into the game.

Pulling friends agreed, playing myself no Definitely needs work, cuz i love the game and the loop inside missions… I think its a publisher or stockholder problem

i had absolutely no connection problems when it came out so dunno

I havent had any performance issues with my 6950xt

in case nobody has said it fatshark was forced to release the game early by tencent

The game came out on xbox a while back and ive put so many hours into the game, but the crafting is so horrible, and it makes it so difficult to get my friends to play it with me because of it, its too much of a grind eith very little reward

No solo, no mission and difficulty choice, no purchase from me

I still have many disconnects. But I'm on Starlink, so high ping (60-80 ms). And of course, I'll still simp for Darktide. That's my main game. Good for wasting an hour. Crafting, yeah, bit annoying. But you don't need a perfect weapon, really. For customisable weapons, there's the weapon customisation mod. Good for putting some reflex sights.

lmao I don't get anything below 90 ms in south america and I rarely get disconnects and its mostly when I'm running +10 mods.

Can I earn achievements and play with nonmodded players, while using mods? ( I don’t wanna be on my own in the moded realm that is vermintide 2, I’d rather play with players like payday2. ) Also cod has a boring not good weapon crafting system, example payday2….

Compared to a bunch of Triple A releases it was polished better than most. The crafting system is not that bad. The money shop was only for cosmetics so who gives a crap. I've never really had issues aside from when you had Ray Tracing on. I have a 3070 and run the game at well over 70-80 FPS at 1440... There are lots of things you can adjust. Considering I played destiny, the RNG is way better in Darktide. Game certainly had its issues but most were way overblown by sweaty beards. Love the game and have for some time. I've got nearly 1500 hours in it.

40-60 fps on 2k resolution using a 3080? I have a 4070 which from my limited knowledge it should be equivalent, but the 4000 Nvidia series have the framegeneration option... so I have about 150 max settings on average, never goes below 100. It might be a CPU bottleneck from your side? Or try different settings from the Performance tab, mine has Nvidia DLSS with Quality ON. As for the game, it fails to retain my attention for more than a week, the weapon system is the biggest downside + stuff like not being able to create a solo lobby or choose any mission you want it's just a big dissapointment, those features should have been in the game from day 1, but for some reason they continue to delay... I would play Vermintide 2 over Darktide any day of the week.

I felt like I was treadmilling for a month, spending all my plasteel and ordo dockets on Void strike staves, just trying to find one staff, ANY single staff with the Surge blessing on it. Every damnation win was two rolls of the dice. . . That's all the game turned into after a while. I still haven't gotten the Surge blessing. I have several dozen useless blue rarity staves.

Vermintide 2 is way more fun IMO.

If you're getting 20-40 FPS with your 3080 in 1440p with no RT, then the issue is clearly that you CPU is 10 years old. My 3070 gets 100+ FPS with no RT in 1440p in this game.

@@warmgunproduction4545 I play with everything at high, not maximum, with DLSS balanced. I get very good performance like this. I'm honestly shocked to hear you can't get at least a locked 60FPS with a 3080 and a 5900X.

No. Its not time to come back, vermintide 2 has still better build variety, better cosmetic aquires, better character lore, better between-char-conversations, better level layouts, better difficulty scaling. Crafting alone in Darktide is such a turnoff. Oh and yeah, not being able to chose what u wanna play also sux major.

From all and all, i think VT2 levels are more pretty a diverse. I know 40k is what it is. But i want a wheat field level, or a level that starts at sundown and end at night type shit

​@@53Memati53They mean that you just can't choose a certain map at any difficulty and hop into the game. You have a selection of maps at certain difficulties you're locked into playing, and the selection rotates over time.

Brothas be complaining about the RNG crafting system for a ENTIRE YEAR. Like brother, are you THAT UNLUCKY?

Problem with Dorktide is that its actually getting players now so they'll never actually fix the gacha mechanics or the fundamentally less appealing characters or the sub PS2 tier hair. So it will never actually be worth playing for anyone with actual standards.
