Do you mean like a person who likes birds, or does this more refer to someone that dresses up in bird costumes and attends LARP sessions on a weekly basis? I'm just asking for a friend who was recently discussing the desire to join with such a group as they've always been fascinated by bird culture and were fully ready to immerse themselves. PS I added the little wizard emoji at the end because this felt like it could crew into a magical conversation some day.

I agree! Listened a couple of times to the available songs from the new album and this one really stands out.
Coming home around midnight from work and listen to this track in a cold house in the far north was just great. Hail Darkthrone!

It was my first close encounter with Norwegian black metal with the album 'A Blaze in the Northern Sky' released on licensed cassette. Shortly thereafter, I painted the band's logo on my jacket myself. Years pass and Darkthrone is still my favorite metal band.
Big bird from Sesame Street enjoys this, reminds him of his Nordic ancestors
I'd like to be free like Darkthrone.
And Darkthrone did it again, my favorite band never lets me down, the best Norwegian band in my opinion, and one of the most prolific in metal, I have followed them since 1993-94. Darkthrone, the heavy metal machine. saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Okay but that solo at the end is so vicious. Darkthrone have been openly influenced by Slayer and their first two albums but I feel like this song is the most Slayer of their entire catalogue, just because of that solo.

They lost their unique sound when they started to rotate same punk and heavy metal stuff for last two decades. Their own unique sound was pretty much first 4 albums and then they started straight copying of Celtic Frost on "Panzerfaust". That was still a good record though. This new not so much

That's two in a row ... I feel like darkthrone has released yet another great album . All the haters that are " blaze ....this AND TRANSYLVANIAN ....THAT " , i cannot abide . Those albums are great , of course , no doubt they are always with me . Personally , I freaking love the directions these guys have taken ! And I send much appreciation and hails from San Diego , California. Thank you Fenriz and Ted for so many years of pure enjoyment !

2 songs in and im already thinking that this is one of the best albums in their career. 1980s vibes, black sabbath sound, cool psychotic vocals, nice riffs. this kind of shit is a miracle in 2024 when all bands sound generic and same with 6505 digital sound and digital drums. sending love to fenriz and ted.

Yes this new album, and their previous ones astral fortress and eternal hails both did too ....their riffs sound so classic and catchy and it's hard not to bang your head when listening to darkthrone

I'm truly loving this formula that the band has created from "Arctic Thunder" so far. Despite the sound being practically the same since "Hate Them", it was from "Arctic Thunder" that the band immersed itself in themes such as: - Nature - Universe - Cosmos - Human existentialism - Astral travel - Sagas of the human soul - Et Cetera I'm impressed how the band still manages to create another album with these themes, I'm not complaining or finding it bad... I actually love this current do of the band, I see a lot of wisdom and maturity in everything they do.

Always prolific and solid 💪! Not one bad album in my opinion although some shine brighter than others. They have covered pretty much every genre of metal and continue to reign… HAIL THE ETERNAL THRONE!!

I agree. I like this style and their riffs, but I just think Ted's vocals are so weak. I liked what he did on "Old Star".. he did them a bit more BM there, but this is weak.
