The entire story is War and Strife unknowingly helping Lucifer cause humanity to do the original sin from the book of genesis. I don't understand how I didn't see this coming. Now the wait for Darksiders 4 where all the 4 horsemen hopefully will say "we are fucking done being used".

@@laoenkm That was the original goal when THQ was creating Darksiders. We have Revenant From The Ashes which I felt was a test at the co-op feature and it has gunplay. So yes, I want to see all four in Darksiders 5 through the traditional third-person action-RPG... hell, combine Darksiders 2's loot system with Darksiders 3's Souls-lite environments. And let Darksiders Genesis get a sequel so we can have four player dungeon crawling with all four of the horsemen.

I’d guess rampage is maybe back since their steeds are basically a part of the horsemen through their bond, so when the 7 seals were broken Rampage probably came back (hopefully).

I have to say, War and Strife together are a very funny pair. We got the snarky brother paired up with the super serious one. Even then War seems to actually be fine trading jabs with his brother, it's nice.

Coupled with the music and the fact that War and Strife had to murder those humans (Book of Genesis), it was harrowing.

Still waiting to get Strifes own game, but I can certainly say with confidence that Strife is my favorite horsmen because of his personality.

The scene with Lucifer sparking through the child was actually pretty spooky, such a well spoken and articulated bringer of absolute chaos.

I always suspected that Vulgrim was Lucifer in disguise. The dude also deals with souls that he accepts as payment. Which makes me wonder if he’s either Lucifer or he will end up betraying us one point to deliver the batch of souls he has since collected.

Dis is the only demon in darksiders I can tolerate 52:12: a rare brother moment in this entire game

See, I do think the devs paid close attention to the lore material. Case in point, Belial - who was the villain in Darksiders 2's DLC campaign. I was concerned when he's mentioned thinking, "No, we can't kill him. What's going on?" And sure enough, he survives.

Wow. I didn't know Megatron was part of the Charred Council. XD

Death is the Older Brother, Fury like the baby sister pining for attention and Strife and War are like twins considering how they act towards each other, but then again, Strife and War are two side of the same coin. That golden horse scene tho....I'm not the only one that got Deadpool vibes from Strife right? EDIT: I KNOW that War is actually the youngest, I am talking how their interactions between each other is like.

Let me enlighten you, that discussion about war losing his hand is referenced to the comics. See, indeed war had a temper tantrum, and seeing that he was out of control, Death stepped in and cut off his arm. Death, as a fact, is the most powerful of the horsemen and also he’s the one who gave war his larger hand

Ihazbestplan yeah War was raging or something and strife and fury tried to stop him but death ended up cutting off his arm that’s why one of his arms is bigger than the other There’s a comic book talking about their origins

I wish they would have shown what Lucifer looks like. Though i get the feeling they will show it in Darksiders 4 alongside Strife's side of the story. Makes sense since it was hinted that Strife died at some point. Maybe he tried facing Lucifer alone at some point and failed.

Hehehe LUCIFER is the one that takes Belial after the horsemen leave. You see Belial again in DS2 on earth.

Both war and strife show what death had from all of them, strength and agility. That’s why death is the most powerful, i wish o could play as him again in a dlc or something

The best part is Strife calling Samael a pissant.

So. Are we not going to talk about the fact Samael had a sword and then we never see it again in the other games? Either he lost it against Moloch or he's not bringing all his cards to the table against Death in DS2 as suspected by many.

I’ve got a feeling Strife isn’t dead but in hiding. In darksiders 3 he was hiding as a human but in 1 and 2 his weapons are given to both is brothers. Obviously timeline wise it goes Genesis, 3/2 and then 1. And at the end of 1 we see the other horseman come down to Earth so he’s most definitely not dead.

Kinda liked War more as the always serious one like the game. Death is still the funniest to me, with what few joking lines he had. Fury is.......emotional. I will admit, I do like Strife's calm demeanor.

War and Strife have such wildly differing personalities but... they still manage to have a few "bro" moments here'n there, haha.

So is this The Prologue of Darksiders? Since this Game Takes place before Darksider 2, 3, & 1.

@@johnsantos507 it's a yes. Chronologically the games go in order as such : genesis, 2, 3 and 1. If you followed the other games you should know that the 7 seals existed in all 3 of the other ones, hence since they were only created here, this preceeds the other 3 games

not only that the dialogue with Astrate is all mixed up the subtitles isnt in sync with her voice lines.

I was wondering how War's voice sounds so familiar and then I realized it is the exact same voice used for Infinite in Sonic Forces! XD

Mammon is a demon, I believe he was created in Middle Ages to embody the seven princes of hell. Mammon in hebrew means "money". Moloch, Belial, Samael and others are princes of hell, a personifications of sins in the bible. Exception being Samael who in texts is something in the middle, which is actually reflected in games. In texts while he condones sins he is actually a servant of God. If you want know more about Samael then here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samael

The charred council doesn't negotiate with demons yet one of there former members was a demon

I don't know if its been addressed in another media but this proves to me that Strife is definitely the youngest of the four

LostEmpireProduction Death is first generation Nephilim. It’s why he’s so damn powerful. It’s why he was able to slay Absolom, twice. In Darksiders 2, you face enemies early on that Fury faced late in Darksiders 3. Then Strife, then Fury, then War.

@Magic Knight Azure I think we can consider the comic retconned, because it seems they have also changed the ages of the characters, in the comics it was stated that War is the youngest, but in DS3 it was retconned to Fury being the baby sister. EDIT: Ok, so I took a second look at the comic, War did not lose his arm in the premature apocalypse, he lost his arm during an earlier fight when a group of angels and demons had a small skirmish between them on Eden and War was sent by the charred council to stop them, but during his massacre he got a little too into it and in order to reign him back in, the charred council sent the 3 siblings to detain him and that is when he lost his arm. Edit: This skirmish happened before the Nephilim's genocide, in the comic you can actually see War sitting ontop of a mountain of corpses consisting of beings from all 3 races.
