@@Wolfrage76 apparently in the comics he got so mad, that strife and fury couldn’t stop him and death had to cut off his arm that’s why he has the big hand on one of his sides. I’m not sure why he was mad but he just went out mad lol

@@uria3679 or maybe he play dark soul and other dark soul ripoff game where he dodge and dodge and dodge again waiting a perfect counter attack Because of that he use his experience from dark soul to other game as all of it is like dark soul

I feel as if this game was specifically designed to be co-op, because playing solo and switching between characters, fighting bosses alone doesn’t feel right. War and Strife have their own thing, they have individuality that allows them to handle specific situations that best fit their abilities. When playing with two players, those abilities are brought out to their finest.

40K as of June 30, 2020. It's a shame too, because this game is really good. The shooting is satisfying and the bosses and enemy waves are fun. I initially didn't think much of it, but I bought it during a recent sale and have been hooked non-stop. Yes, it has some bugs and glitches, but they're not gamebreaking. They're merely annoying.

Grinner is just comic relief.

My first look at the new Darksiders. Why does it look more like an MMO than a classic Darksiders game? Was that intentional?

Fully agree with u there @gellot, Darksider 1and 2 were great, but this still beats the snoozefest 3 was. As always good job man

It's really nice game, i want to see Gellot play Hades.

You can say what you want, but this game, despite being a Spin-off, is much more fun and varied (as well as better done) than Darksiders 3.

Keith David sounds awesome as always, but damn if the writers trying to turn Strife into Deadpool wasn't the most jarring, unnecessary thing I've ever seen in a Darksiders game.

Strife always was somewhat like this, but I didn't see it as Deadpool, more like a more-expressive brother having silly moments with another bro in this game. This is also a prequel before the main series where everything gone to shit. It pretty much showed on War too: laughs along with Strife too in moments, but on the main series, he's aloof and WAY more serious because chaos is ongoing.

@@terasuul2860 I get the prequel deal, I just feel that Strife's goofball, near jive-turkey antics in this game feel very much out of place in Darksiders (and I am not forgetting the Wicked Killington stuff, which I think the recent games have actually been handling rather well). Granted, this might be me reading a bit too much into the hints of characterization we got in Darksiders 3, where in his undercover persona he seemed to be the most reasonable Horseman with the best grasp on the situation; then again, in the Abomination Vault novel (which chronologically takes place before even THIS game), his personality was spiteful and harsh, so maybe he doesn't HAVE a set personality. I feel that between this, the radical gameplay departure, and the buggy, incomplete nature of the game, Darksiders: Genesis has some interesting untold stories behind the scenes.

I should read Vault someday. I should stop procrastinating. But yeah, I always imagined Strife and War here are a combo of just bros being bros + just doing jobs/not having the world on their shoulders. Him being influenced from humans (even pretending to be one to be protect them in 3 because he regrets the genocide), yet he's happy psycho who loves to slaughter... Maybe, you are not thinking too much on this: His name is STRIFE for a reason... Perhaps that's the intention/foreshadowing that leads to DS 4? He's somewhat like a different person everytime he appears, yet he keeps the two traits: wit and guilt... which creates quite a strife.

@@uria3679 The problem with Strife in this game isn't that he is a mold-breaker so much as A: this flies in the face of all the other times he has received characterization in this series, and B: he is now a goofy, jokey, quip-spouting Deadpool/Spiderman type in a setting that sort of thing just doesn't belong in (Wicked Killington only gets a pass for being an in-joke since the very beginning), and really goes against the entire tone of the rest of the franchise.

We need the fourth game 😊
