The crucible and this dlc really should have been in the full game....wasn’t super impressed with any of it I was glad to have a third game in the series and getting genesis is a good sign that we may get a 4th in the main line series but hopefully 4 is better than 3

Brentor14 well to be fair on the development side, the Crucible and other DLC for Darksiders 2 was after the initial game release WHILE being near financial decline (Vigil,THQ). I was kinda expecting them to do so again for Darksiders 3, even though from what I remember, had a smaller budget than the previous 2 entries! As for the actual gameplay...yea it was pretty rough in the beginning (before the update that included classic combat). They tried going for something different by attempting to go Dark Soulsy on how weak and restricted you are in combat. Personally I liked how D2 had some elements from the first game, being Zelda inspired, and add some Diablo-type loot and talents. The Crucible in D3 is rrrrrrough unless you got the hang of the combat, not as smooth as D2 was.

TheNocturnal I felt the same way about the second game call me an old school gamer but I miss when everything that’s meant to be in a game was in there from release DLC is the worst thing to happen to gaming like developers who with hold the true beginnings or endings of a game as dlc, and when DLC comes out after only afew months of release and it’s a very small download you know it was meant to be in the game but they intended to swindle more money from consumers

They should've left the shoulder pad with it. But... It's appealing nonetheless. I wish when these four reunites, they have to wear these armor to face Lucifer and the council.

I seriously hope we don't face the council, that as it turns out they too were just pawns that overreached. I loved how they wanted to maintain the balance but because of Abaddon and Lucifer's meddling, their true role in the universe was discovered. The fact they even considered sending War to stop Hell and Heaven's antics meant they only wanted to establish Order so both sides respected their authority. That's one of the issues I had with 3 in how it kind of deviated from the story by implying Mankind was the key. We still don't know what role Eden had in that it was a weapon.

Mark Hamil's voice fits perfectly in Vulgrim

Honestly I love fury's base armor design because of the black and silver color scheme it really fits her character I just wish it had better stats for upgrading than just health and damage

Shame that it doesn't have more Havoc proprieties, I like Panoply better because of it.

The Warchief Zeke Jaeger I was still on my first run through and only just recently started a new game plus with the armor. I suppose it between those two to upgrade with the new game plus exclusive armor upgrade ore.

i know this was from 2 years ago, but yeah i think it really should've had some Havoc bonuses considering how weak Havoc Form is compared to the Chaos and Reaper forms

Oof, this is a late reply. So the basic and crimson armor (if you have the PS4 code for it) are the two armors you get outside of the hollow ones vulgrim now sells. Then there's the crucible ones that you can buy with the tokens that mode provides.

Is it me or does FURY looks prettiest when she's pissed...?

I have a question if I play the dlc from a completed game and get the armor, can I play a new game and equip it or do I have to play dlc first before a new game to use armor in a new game

Once you have at least all 4 hollow forms you can fight the boss to get the armor. You can beat the base game or do it before finishing it, just get all 4 forms. As for New Game Plus, you will instead be rewarded the material to upgrade armors in NG+, that's how you can upgrade the Abyssal Armor too.

Sorry for late response. Vulgrim has them under his Specials Tab, I didn't have enough for the other 2 Hollow armors but did have enough after fighting the last boss in the DLC.

I played on the hardest difficulty and each one of those bosses were BS damage sponges, so annoying.

Ali S ................. First off once you get a hollow you can do a corridor of the Void, there's for of them like the forms Fury gets. Assuming you get this DLC, pretty much get all the forms and areas done and then the middle stone will move up to show a teleport like the one I used here. It's a tough fight but you'll manage if you use fortification shards and of course havoc form.

How do you upgrade the armor not weapons. only the armor?

Gotta start a new game plus (Armageddon) in order to collect the specific ores to do so. They drop from the black elite enemies.

Well you can already play the game first off on Apocalypse ya? The 'new game plus' mode is called Armageddon in which you can also start off with Apocalypse difficulty. I'm replaying that through in new game plus to get both those trophies and also the lvl 100 one. And yes, imo it's one of the best to use aside from the Panoply and maybe the two other armors you get from the Crucible.

war's abyssal armor is by far my favorite. Darksiders 3 in general wasnt as good as the last 2. The story was good, but the gameplay felt a bit more challenging than it should have and the upgrades didnt do much.

I liked many aspects of it but I do feel it was a downgrade. But the world building and the punishment wasn't too bad, it's just that you were locked in tricky situations that made it feel more punishing than it was.

As cool as the armor is.. Its fucking shit you did not get to kill vulgrim. That a horsemen could be bought so easily with a trinket is sad. COmbine that it fucking says on the armor that it's fury's armor!! So why would she just not take it? When she killed him? Combine that you did this for free use of the serpent hole but you must pay to use it in darksiders 1...

Easy reason: Continuity The games that take place during and after this entry need Vulgrim in them. Also, why kill a proven middle-man that can provide goods for you? Just about all the horseman learned to adapt and tolerate Vulgrims "vileness" so long as they still get a benefit from doing business with him. Be sweet though to unlock him as a hidden boss in a upcoming game though, preferably in a game where all four can be playable.

Not worth it.

....All that money, all that work for an armour set that looks awful. I dunno what's more of a joke this armour set or Darksiders Genesis.

Beowulf I was of the same mindset when it came to Deaths armor set with the horns (not really fitting for him and more towards a demon if you ask me). As for Genesis, like the previous entries, is having its own spin of things in the "adventure" genre and obvious Diablo-type of gameplay. It's considered a spin off and not the official 4th game entry. Regardless, I'll be playing that with my bro, pretty sweet considering the two playable characters are "brothers". Best to see these games as AA and not triples A when it comes to budget and the amount of folks behind them. Im sure you're aware of the history about how Darksiders as a whole would've been doomed after 2 due to THQ's bankruptcy. Wasn't too much of a fan of this game's combat being all souls like and how quick you can die.
