If you want a better possessed weapon for a melee style of attack on Darksiders 2, 1) Get a buttload of Legacy Talismans from Vulgrim 2) Get some Possessed Scythes with one of the four stats listed below or are blank 3) Get a Possessed Secondary Weapon (doesn't matter which one) 4) Feed Possessed Scythes with Legacy Talisman until it levels and choose Health Steal, Wrath Steal, Critical Chance, and Critical Damage 4a) If you do not get one of these on your level up, instead of accepting it before you make a selection of what upgrade to give it, switch screens and go to the Abilities Page or Main Summary page. (R1 or L1 PS3, LB or RB XBOX 360, not sure what on PC) 5) Repeat Process with Secondary weapon using Power Ups of STR, DEF, RES, and for kicks you can add ARC or whatever else you deem necessary By doing this, when you hit a creature, your wrath and health are instantly regained isntead of waiting for the little souls to reach you or waiting for a critical chance. Enjoy you slashing.

It doesn't autosave after you select an upgrade for your possessed weapon. You can pick any one then just quit without saving, and reload. The game does autosave when you hit "Accept" at the window that pops up when you buy anything from Vulgrim, though

You can abuse Vulgrim's shop in a pretty unique way. Make sure you have 6 scythes of any type in your inventory. When you enter his shop, go into the Sell option, and scroll to the sixth scythe (at least) in your inventory, then hit both the Sell button and the button to change back to Vulgrim's inventory. If you do it right, your cursor should be on the Legacy Box (which always gives you possessed weapons), and the game should be asking you if you want to sell the item. Select Yes. It basically buys the item, but it lets you go into negative money and Boatman's Coins. You can do this with any of your first six scythes to buy any of the boxes, Respec, or Legacy Artifact even if you don't have the money or coins for it. You can also buy out entire regular shops with this trick too.

You should make a build with a high execution chance and use black demise which will give you full life and wrath when you do an execution

Wow! Finally someone who shares my enthusiasm for execution chance. You can actually build possessed scythes with health steal, wrath steal and execution chance. On top of that there are also talismans that give you execution chance. At some point I had over 100% execution chance. It takes bit of tinkering though and it doesn't work on some bosses. For example, you'll never execute Absalom or Wicked K. But with Health and Wrath steal on both weapons, that shouldn't be a problem anyway.

I tend to use teleport slash to close in to anemies and recover life. Also to go behind big enemies when they get ready to attack. Harvest when i'm surrounded. Ghouls to distract enemies, and crows with life regen. And for weapons I usually make scythes with Life Steal and a hammer or axe with Wrath Steal (There's a high chance of achieving those abilities by feeding Legacy artifacts to your possessed weapons.) You can easily pair this with harbinger armor. The weapons are also good for pathfinder or necromancer build. With these weapons you can best pair armor that has high critical chance and/or critical damage Armor with stats similar to Angel of Death is also very useful.

My self-esteem rose significantly while watching this video. I feel like a DS2 buildmaster now thanks to how much better all my builds are than this.

Lol!

Life steal + execution chance= immortalty. This way is the greatest. With this build if u perform execution ur health is gonna be full. And for beat the giant monsters easily u can go harvest and crow skill provide reaper enery and muria side quest talisman provide reaper energy on every hit. With this way u can spamm reaper form. Recharge the reaper energy from 1 small monsters wave and use reaper form for giant monsters. Ez clean crucible on lvl 22

My suggestion is to get wrath on those scythes and health crit and crit chance plus that build necromancer but nice tips man

You can do fun things with your Nec Build: Get Beithir's Talons + an additional weapon with lots of lifeleech (possessed or - my suggestion - Achidna's Fangs, which has %dmg based lifeleech) for backup reasons. In addition you stack lots of Arcane Dmg, Arcane Crit and Arcane Critdmg. The fun part starts when you realise, that - while its' base dmg isn't that high - Beithir's firedot scales with your Arcane stats. It feels like slicing through butter with a hot knife, literally :)

Unstoppable is a good skill if you have health and wrath on critical, due to its second attack chance.

I've been playing a lot of DS2 lately (since it was released for free for Xbox gold users) and my crit harbinger build is so op I cannot die, unless I just sit there taking hits of course. I put everything into crit chance, crit damage and strength, and if you have access to the Arguls tomb DLC, I recommend getting the legacy talisman from vulgrim for 25k. it's sole purpose is to be fed to your possessed weapons, and it has a chance to give super rare stats like health steal and wrath steal.(so take health steal for harbinger and wrath for a necro build) currently I have 64% crit chance and 344% crit damage with unstoppable active, and my basic attacks crit for roughly 8-10 k damage each, and I've seen harvest crit for a massive 54k. and as I have 25% health steal on my scythes, I heal almost my whole health bar per hit. so yeah, just food for thought.

I've personally gotten this far with it: Character level: 25 Primary Weapon: Legendary Weapon: Guillotine 73% Critical Chance 616% Critical Damage (rough estimate) 15% Health Steal (Thanks to the passive of Achidna's fangs. Not that the number matters, every crit with my scythes is a full heal because of the massive dmg) Secondary Weapon: Legendary Weapon: Achidna's Fangs 90% Crit Chance 316% Critical Damage (rough estimate) 15% Health Steal (Passive) Armor set 170%-230% Crit Damage (rough estimate) 30-60 Strength (rough estimate) Talisman 24% Crit Chance 28% Crit dmg (rough estimate) I just spam Harvester's Revenge with the occasional full 4-atk combo. Anything that's not a champion, mini-boss, or boss usually dies on the 2nd or third atk (If HR didn't already kill them). Popping Unstoppable brings my Primary Crit chance to 93% and my Primary crit dmg to 636% (rough estimate). With this exact build I've beaten the Construct Hulk (on normal mind you) without even touching a shadow bomb. I dealt so much dmg to regular enemies that I figured he'd be the only foe who'd give me a real challenge. I was right. His health went down pretty slow, even with my massive dmg. He's so heavily armored that he has somewhere around 90% dmg reduction (possibly even more than that). But simply spamming Harvester's Revenge and dodging his rampages was enough. 30 seconds into the fight he had only taken a small amount of dmg when he accidentally hit a shadow bomb on his own, collapsing. I attacked his heart and knocked him down to roughly 3/7 of his hp (Only because I spent a few seconds 1-shotting the minions first, shoulda used Harvest in hindsight...). After another minute of chipping away at his HP down to about 1/3 I popped Reaper form. Once he collapsed after a few attacks due to Reaper Form's "Overwhelm" effect, It was all over. My Reaper Form's already significant base dmg was multiplied by the 7x crit dmg factor and I took him down to 0 in 2-3 swings. If my armor set had more Strength in it, without sacrificing too much crit dmg It might have been 1-2 swings. This build can be mimicked on a weaker scale at lower levels with the Legendary weapon Bheithir's Talons. Keep working on that build, and lemme know if you ever exceed my stats lol.

Honestly khan if you want to go to the life leech path the best weapon for that are the Claws of Karkinos (I think that's the name.) I know it's that spider boss you fight when collecting the dead council. Not only are the claws fast bust they steal massive amounts of life PER HIT. Or every couple hits but it's a very large and noticeable amounts.

You mean Achidna's Fangs, right? Cause the only weapon named after Kharkinos is the Masher of Kharkinos and that's a hammer with no life stealing abilities. Also, Achidna's Fangs only grants health on critical hits, so you need a somewhat high critical chance to get the health boost. Posessed weapons with health steal on the other hand, will give you health each time you land a hit, no matter what your critical hit chances are.

I could only buy a weapon with lifesteal when I was lvl 26 on ng+ and to get good loot I use the demonheart talisman. I'm lvl 28 now, have scythes withe 25% lifesteal and a secondary with wrath on crit. With this build I have gotten to wave 75 without using health posion and then stopped but I believe I could have gotten further. Hope this cleared some stuff up for some people

if you can get health steal on a posessed weapon you're almost unbeatable. beat the crucible in under an hour, with only 2 health potions used (not low health, but too risky as my game will be deleted if i die) also, with health on crits, make sure your seconday weapon is small. hammers are a waste of time, with small weapons you can do multiple hits at once and can be getting up to 300 hp per hit

+mastro211 If you do a simple attack combo like: 1. Scythe attack 2. Heavy Secondary attack You get a full HP/Wrath bar in the space of 3 seconds (1 second for the scythe atk, 1 seconds per hit of the heavy weapon). Health/Wrath steal on Heavy secondaries is OP AF if you know the fastest combos for heavies. Also, heavies have more innate knockback power than fast secondaries, so you can stun Champion-level enemies more often and sooner into your combo.

Game was legit a lil short but fun

The problem here is simple, you rely way too much on the use of wrath and arcane abilities. You try focusing on strength? The only benefits to Apocalyptic are that you get hurt more and I believe they absorb more.

I did the Crusible at lvl 30 to have all the waves unlocked. Completed it using only two health potions, and i did as much damage as you do with crits with my regular attacks. My crits would do about 6k damage,wiht health on crit and kill.

Thing is I don't like using too much damage with spells. I prefer to get up close and personal. And I think that one of the two was against that skeleton guy you fight on the top.

+Oρέστης Τρύφωνας I too, prefer up close and personal, however. It is a widely accepted fact that Crit Necro is the build that gives you the best possible results (semi-instant annihilation of everything), for the least amount of effort (Using Summon Ghouls, then Summon Crows, then Aegis Guard, all of that just once). If you want the easiest, fastest run through the Crucible (or just want to win the game with little to no effort put into combat) Crit Necro is the build to go for. That being said its one of the more boring builds. I personally prefer my own Reaper build, which basically allows me to abuse Reaper form to kill roughly every other wave, while also maximizing my Reaper form's damage output. All that of course, without sacrificing much of the raw, brute force power of a Basic Harbinger build. I even have the ghouls fully trained in Death's Allure just to help distract enemies if I get into a rough spot. My build is the most balanced build I've seen anywhere.

If I remember correctly, it was Murder for me. With frost attacks, lifesteal and additional flocks on higher levels, they help with the Reaper form and keep your life full for as long as you like. A favourite tactic of mine was to summon both the ravens and the ghouls and then just walk in the carnage and kill whatever was left alive. And then activate Reaper for the big ones.

Ghouls+birds add on heralds of death ability so birds get u wrath and enervation ability for ghouls and wrath per crit use harvest revenge infinite wrath 🙄

I understand how stats work for weppons but can anyone help out on my skill tree I honestly could use some help with that and the best way to go.

It's not at all like Dark Souls. Very fast paced but very puzzle-like (has parkour) I don't know about difficulty spikes on ng+ though. It's badass nonetheless.

Your cpu is rubbish unless you got a really lucky very high oc.. Try amd fx but they're power hungry or the intel hd 3560 as the 4670k vs heats too hi
