Wellllll.... apparently some of the Justice League didn't😅 Superman knew something didn't smell right, and if they would not have helped Darkseid,then Brainiac, pissed that his plan to get Superman didn't work, probably still would have destroyed Apokolips anyway!😏

Superman's first instinct was right and that is punctuated in the ending and later on in the series.

I also hated how inconsistent they were with Superman's strength also. However, this isn't really one of those occasions. JJ & WW are both mega powerful themselves, and also Superman's friends & allys; he's not going to hurt either one of them.

Batman wasn't worried about the explosion. He knew the explosion wouldn't hurt Superman. He stopped Superman from crossing the line by killing Darkseid.

For those not in the know, Darkseid didn't want to lose his planet or cause a bunch of dmg to critical infrastructure defeating Brainiac, while the military was weakened. His plan was the best outcome for him winning, without wrecking his planet and losing population in the attempt to defeat brainiac.

Wow, that was Steppenwolf? I didn't remember ever hearing his name, they really changed him for the movies!
