100% this. Din Djarin is being deconstructed, and now has to recreate himself. The way of the bounty hunter is no longer his path. Everyone who has wielded the Darksaber has done so for selfish gain and glory. A real leader needs to temper their passions. Din has shown he's level headed and a good diplomat.

I agree I think it would be dumb if they destroyed it. The dark saber is awesome. I want either Grogu, Mando or Sabine to wield it. Sabine should have never given it away.

When wielding the Darksaber, Gideon and Sabine had rained with it and were focused in thought and mind. Din was conflicted between his dedication to Grogu and his Tribe, and Paz was impulsively trying to gain honor at the expense of his Tribe. You don't wield the saber, you just conform to it.

Exactly. Din Djarin's thoughts aren't one with the blade and he doesn't even want it so he is actively fighting against it adding even more "weight" to it. It is essentially the Force focused into a crystal, and it requires the user to be focused. Heavy mind = Heavy blade.

I agree. I dont think it necessarily needs to be won in combat to successfully wield it. You just have to believe you are worthy to avoid any conflict with the sword. The story of winning it is important because it helps the user believe they deserve the sword.

It's good too see you get back into SW content. Still love the lore of the Darksaber!

I think it will take a Jedi to cleanse the Darksaber and remove the "curse", just as Ahsoka purified the red inquisitors kyber crystals to white. Clan Mudhorn will unite Mandalore and Grogu will become Mand'alor.

I think grogu shall end up wielding the dark saber, as he will be accepted by both mandalorian and jedi orders, aka matching Tarre Vizsla’s origin with the saber as well. He will be the first jedi mandalorian to wield it since Vizsla himself, and therefore be the sword’s “perfect match”

I like your idea, but I think Grogu would be better with it. I think Din will be the Cap to Grogu’s Thor. I personally find it to be a more promising story, but then again we don’t know what Grogu will decide to do. Knowing that will tell us who wields it.

@@bbsy1 this makes sense I have a feeling Grogu will take Din’s gift because it’s an easy out for him to not exist in the movies. And the writers are heavily setting up him to be a mandalorian with how much he’s getting called foundling

I just want Din Jarin to keep wielding it, I believe he has the right, and just needs more training.

What i like about mando is his silver armour with the darksaber makes him look regal and intimidating

What if The Mandelorian is really the story of exactly what the title says, THE Mandelorian. The one to restore Mandelor. We were all distracted by Grogu that we never even cared about Mando’s greater story. Now that he only has a tiny ship he’s either going to get a home base like Mandelor or a giant ship to land his tiny ship on. He can transport bounties with his giant ship. It’s the only way the tiny ship makes sense for a bounty hunter.

The connection comes when the wielder directs the flow of power properly. Din Djarin may develop it soon or just eventually. You're not fighting with a simple blade as much as you are directing a current of power... so if you're not directing the flow it's a more like fighting against a magnet than lifting something that's heavy, has mass and takes up space. The user would say it is heavy for lack of a better way to describe how it feels.

Plot twist: it’s going to be Boba Fett “I shall rule with respect” mwahahahaha

The dark saber is featured in this series, and so far episode 5 ist the only one, seemingly without most connections to Boba Fett. And the series describe his ascend from a bounty hunter towards a leader and, maybe more important to a person who wants to unite people around him. So it wouldn't be to surprising that the dark saber ends up in his hands. And maybe Din finds out that the sword has not to be won in battle.

YES! Bobba is the only one with a character of imposing leadership, everyone is starting to follow Bobba. Remember, this is the Book of Bobba Fett, the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy, who would take out force wielders, and sent by Vador to take out Luke. There is a reason Bobba is sitting on a throne.

Jango won it in legends but never got to keep it because he got captured. Everyone after than Pre vizla, maul, bo kataan etc have been unrightfully using it therefore leading to tragedy or downfall for them all. I think din will get some tragedy if he keeps it since it rightfully belongs to boba now

Its not shown how he placed the saber in there lol, u see how he would place it but now how it was in there But on tatooine he did look weird at the case for a few secs when it opend

When Dinn has to check his weapons before boarding the transport he says "I'm a Mandalorian. Weapons are my religion."

What about Boba wielding the dark saber? It’s a possibility as well.

Just like in any well written Book - chapters might “seemingly” detour from the protagonist; however, it brings the information provided back around to the main character in some fashion. In a well written Book (which I believe this is), the author(s) give information to the reader in chapters that will be important later on to the main character. How cool is that going to be to see? 🤩

@@mattybricks8003 I agree that he wouldn’t necessarily want the weapon and I’m not saying he would keep the weapon either. However, Boba cares more about his tribe (which Din is a part of) than money or hurting his tribe. He’ll be loyal to Din, of course. That doesn’t mean that in some part of the battle, he doesn’t pick up the sabor and wield it while riding his rankor. We’ll find out soon what cool things they have planned.

Not really a good comparison this is more about being one with the blade which requires you to be clear minded its not just about having the technique to wield it but also having a strong enough mind

you know if they do end up going the route of destroying the dark saber, there's two options that i can think of to motivate that decision. first is in fighting as people via for the role, can't unite a people if they're too busy fighting over the crown. the second option is that all of the mythology behind the saber turns out to be false, there never was a mandalorian-jedi, it was all just a story that was made up in order to unite the houses...

You didn't talk about Jango Fett and how he was leader of Mandalor once. Boda Fett being a clone or son of Jango, he has claim to the Dark Sabre. Why not explore this in your next video. This could be one of the reasons why Boba wishes to rule with respect so he can move on from where he is to Mandalor :-)

“Grogu and friends” Now we need this….

Din goes to Mandalor for his baptism, and finds the Helmet of Mandalor the First, and don's it. It's age, and heritage superseding that of the dark saber. Grogu gets the dark saber after rejecting Yodas lightsaber, and the first words out of the kids mouth will be "The way, this is."

The Kyber crystal inside the hilt is infused with beskar by Tar Vizla imo. And Id also like to see Boba take it. He doesn't need to win it from Din because they both don't care. Din can continue bounty hunting with Grogu and Boba can take the leader role they're showing him take. And in leaving Tatooine, makes the syndacites give Tuskens a tax.

Yes! The Darksaber could call out to Jango's clone(Boba). if Cad Bane shows up he could defeat Din, then Boba could disarms Cad w/ his custom gaffi, and uses Tusken form w/ saber, Tatooine=new "Mandalore"

Grogu will eventually wield the Dard Sabre. As both a Mandalorian foundling and future Jedi, he fits the mold to be the successor and lead the remaining Madalorians in rebuilding their home.

I believe it my friend lol technically the saber belongs to Jango(Boba is an exact clone+heir of true mandalorians) He defeated Tor Vizsla for it and the Vizsla's took it back unrightfully and that is why the saber is cursed

Besides Ahsoka's white lightsabers the Darksaber is my favorite lightsaber. Din Djarin will learn how to properly wield it and eventually become the leader of Mandalore. I can't wait to see Mandalore in live-action in season 3 of the Mandalorian.
